Processor Series
This is the name the manufacturer gives to a series of CPUs using the same technology. You will want to make sure your chosen CPU matches the type your motherboard is designed to accept.
FX-Series Eight-Core FX-8100
FX-Series Eigth-Core FX-8320
FX-Series Eight-Core FX-8350
FX-Series Six-Core FX-6300
Processor Speed
Processor speed indicates how quickly the CPU can perform calculations. Higher speeds allow for faster calculations, meaning less wait time.

Number of Cores
Many modern CPUs have multiple cores. The number of cores is the number of processors that make up the CPU. Having more cores allows the CPU to perform more calculations at once, meaning less wait time.

CPU Socket Type
The socket type is the kind of connection used to mount the CPU to the motherboard. Intel and AMD each make their own types of sockets. You will want to make sure your new CPU socket type matches that of your chosen motherboard.
AMD FX 8-Core Processor, lower power (E) but same superb performance. AMD's next-generation architecture takes 8-core processing to a new level. Get up better frame rates in some of the most demanding games, at stunning resolutions. Get faster audio encoding so you can enjoy your music sooner. What Is In The Box: CPU, Heat Sink and Fan(E3), Thermal Paste is already applied on the Heat Sink, FX Bezel Sticker, Certificate of Authenticity, Installation Instruction and a 3 Year Warranty and Instruction Manual
What Other Items Do Customers Buy After Viewing This Item?
Recognized by an ASROCK 990FX Extreme4 motherboard with BIOS revision 2.00 (now updated to 2.70) despite not being listed as an officially supported processor on ASRock's website. Have not seen any evidence of Turbo Core with that function set to "Auto" in the BIOS. Power consumption seems in line with AMD's specs; using a kill-a-watt meter at the wall with the aforementioned motherboard and an XFX Radeon R7 250E graphics card, system idles at 76W, while Prime95 CPU load is 180W. Reasonably priced compared to the FX-8370E and the hard-to-get FX-8300 (the other 95W octa-core parts in AMD's stable).
