I was hoping to fire up my Mini ITX board when I got this processor. I guess I should of checked the technical data sheet it came with. I am using it in my desktop machine now and 3 cores is f*****g awesome! I buy from Geeks.com often and this was a great score! A few bucks more than an Athlon64 x2 and you do notice the extra performance a bit. It definately doesn't quite compare with the quads of course, but this is a GREAT bang:buck ratio. Will be a repeated buyer!

Good for the price,

I have been running this processor for about the past 2 years and have had no problems with it. For the price its a good deal, consider it if you want slightly better performance than a dual core. From what I understand it is a quad-core with a disabled defective core. It has been very stable even when over-clocked to around 2.7 ghz, although my desktop has many fans and I have after-market fan speed controller and temperature sensors.

Was expecting more of an overall performance boost when I upgraded an older single-core Athlon. It performs adequately, but that's all. I should have spent the extra $40 and purchased at least a quad-core instead. This chip has narrow and limited overclocking capabilities and is pretty much "maxed-out" right out of the box. I can't fault AMD, this is somewhat better than a dual-core, but not by much. I truly can't recommend this chip unless you're on a tight budget and have no room for anything better. It will perform, and be adequate, but don't have any expectations outside of adequate. One plus - it does do virtualization and runs Windows 7 fairly well, and Windows XP virtualization within Windows 7. Adequate, but not noteworthy. I'm saving my $$ for the 6-core and replacing this.
