Dr. Lawrence has organized the lessons so that any novice can model and analyze a physical situation and understand the real implications of the solution. The tutorials are well organized, consise, and informative-all of the things that a software program book should be. This is by far the best tutorial book I have used to learn a progam.

3.0 out of 5 stars Review of ANSYS Tutorial 8 Release, October 12, 2005
By
This review is from: ANSYS Tutorial Release 8 (Paperback)
I bought this release hoping that the tutorial would throw some light on advanced analysis capabilities like explicit dynamics etc. However, this release at best acquaints the reader with ANSYS 8 and how he could work on basic static steady state problems using it. It is a good reference for all starters who wish to get familiarised with elementary analysis capabilities of ANSYS.

5.0 out of 5 stars Detailed Steps To Construct Different FEM Models, February 3, 2006
By
This review is from: ANSYS Tutorial Release 8 (Paperback)
I had Dr. Lawrence as a teacher and I was very lucky to have him as a teacher. The tutorial is so far the best introductory reference for those who want to walk the first steps in learning this powerful software (ANSYS). I certainly recommend this book for all ANSYS beginners.
