RARE ANTIQUE TREASURE 19th-century JAPANESE two-section Isho Dansu ('TANSU' means chest used for clothing) from the Meiji period. Features RARE ANTIQUE fabulous intricate ironwork. This rare ANTIQUE CHEST shows off dynamic lockplates shaped like peony flowers. The traditional drawer pulls are lovely heavy ironworks. The beautiful metal bracketing and bolting around all the drawers were a symbol of affluence.
