IPS is as clear as purported. Excellent viewing angles, clearer than a Dell P2412H (next to it on my desk), although the Dell isn't a bad monitor by any means. When these are refurbished they're super cheap.

One complaint is the "i-menu" software that comes with it installs in Chinese regardless of which language you choose during installation. To change it to English, launch i-menu, then click on the icon of the earth (globe) with the small gear/sprocket. Click the triangle on the right-most dropdown box that appears, and you can select "English" or other languages.

i-menu lets you change the settings (brightness, gamma, etc) from a program without having to fiddle with the physical monitor buttons. Very convenient.

I have never had an AOC product before so I was wary about going "cheap" for a monitor, as I got this one for $120, but have no regrets as of yet. I chose this one for the IPS and LED backlit features. Everything was working great upon plugin and the picture looks great.

Pros:
Looks great
Good Price
Sturdy Tilt stand

Cons:
No audio or headphone jacks (not to be expected for the price though)
No HDMI port

Verified Purchase
So i bought these to replace my LG IPS panels .. Got em home set em up .. there is no dropoff from the LG to these .. I ran out and bought 2 more and a stand to go with it ... My suggestion for anyone that has issue with the pic on this is to run a calibration tool or a movie to tweek to your taste
