Nice TV,

This review is from: AOC L42H961 42-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV (Electronics)
I got this TV a couple of days ago. I'm quite pleased with it so far. The picture is bright and colorful, and the built-in speakers are quite adequate.
Setting up the TV was simple. To assemble the stand, you just need to install four thumb screws in the base. Then just plug everything in, and you're done. The channel setup was also quite easy. The included remote is designed to control the TV only. While this means you might need to have multiple remotes around, I much prefer this style of remote to the "universal" remote that comes with many TVs because it keeps the number of buttons to a minimum, and universal remotes are often missing a button or two for your device's specific features anyway. This TV should have all the inputs most people will ever need. It has four HDMI inputs, two component inputs, two composite/S-video inputs, and a VGA input for easy computer connectivity. The TV's stand swivels quite easily. It doesn't tilt at all though, so you're stuck with the default vertical orientation. All things considered, I'm happy to have purchased this TV so far. I was taking a chance on the AOC brand (had never heard of it before), but it seems to be a good quality product overall. The only unknown so far is the unit's longevity. The TV comes with a one-year warranty, but I hope to be watching this TV for several years longer than this. *** SEVEN-MONTH UPDATE *** After using the TV for seven months, I'm still quite happy with it. The unit still works great and I have no real complaints. I have discovered one undocumented feature of this TV that I will share with you. There is a USB port on the side of the TV marked "Service." The function of this port is not documented in the TV's manual; it doesn't seem to be intended for customer use. I have found that this port can be used to charge USB-powered portable devices when the TV is turned on. I have personally charged an iPod touch and a Sony Reader using the TV's USB port. One minor annoyance that can happen when you do this is that the TV sound quality can become degraded after you plug in the portable device. If this happens, switch the video input mode to something else and back again, and the problem will go away.

I own four lcd tv's. A samsung, a bravia, a polaroid and this aoc... let me tell you that all of them are great... however.. this is really special... it is brighter and has lots of inputs, it is well built (excellent quality ) and has a great look... Moreover, the menu is really simple and practical. if I had to recommend one of the mentioned tv's I would, with no doubt, recommend this set... it is the best regarding the relationship quality - price...
