That big white APC label is covering up the real battery manufacturer's logo and information. I just pulled it off of three dead (well used) APC batteries and each was made by a different company--none of which I recognize. I keep track of around 50 sealed lead-acid batteries on my job, half of which are in APC UPS products. We check our batteries regularly with a $300 capacity tester because they are critical use. I NEVER buy APC brand replacements because I don't who made them! Stick with Yuasa, Power Sonic or a recognized brand and you know what you are getting.

Got the product quickly and anticipated good things. That was the good news. The bad news was that the product did not work. I guess it was a faulty replacement battery. Even worse, I tried to return the product but it was refused because of the "acid" which is a puzzle to me because they had no problem sending it to me. Very disappointed.

Typical good Amazon delivery time, but battery does not work. More accurately, it works, but the APC software indicates that the battery will only keep my PC running for less than one minute. Same PC attached to old battery always showed about 15 minutes available.

Can't return because it's considered hazardous materials, etc. I think this policy could have been more prominently displayed in the item's description.

In retrospect, I should have just purchased another APC UPS unit, which would have cost me just another $15.

You really have to know a little something about APC UPS. The battery came with no real instructions. When I replaced the battery the alarm went off on power up and stayed on. At first I thought the battery was DOA, but I remembered seeing this before. The batteries ship totally discharged. Upon "boot" of the UPS it checks the battery condition. It mistakes a totally discharged battery as a short. The high surge of current caused the UPS to "stink" as it charged the battery. After a few minutes it began to work fine.

Keep in mind this can happen when you replace your battery.

This battery is an OEM replacement for APC products. I have ordered many of these for my small company. The price that you can receive them on Amazon is great plus free shipping. Thats cheaper the APC's on website. Thanks Amazon

I got the product about 3 months ago and have been using it inside the UPS for about 6 weeks with no problems- as described- returned the old battery in return box provided.

I stuck with the APC branded battery so I could recycle the old one free. Although I didn't receive a pre-paid return shipping label in the box, I was able to get one by going to APC's website and following the "Eco-friendly Options for your Aging UPS" link under Support.

The site indicates that Staples' recycling costs $10, but using a UPS shipping label to a recycler is free.

APC products are always reliable and this is no exception. Arrived quickly and easy to install. There are so many "look-alike" APC products out there..but the real APC is the only way to go.

I ordered directly from APC and am glad I did so rather than using another company. (The APC battery provided in the product I originally purchased lasted 5 years--2 years longer than manufacturer's estimate!)This replacement battery arrived promptly on time, was quite easy to install into the back up unit housing, and appears to be performing as specified. I was hesitant after reading many reviews about alarm tones sounding that could not be disengaged, but I have had none of these problems with the RBC35 cartridge model either during or after the installation.

We have 5 APC ES350 units in our office and some XS 1300 units. Keep replacing the battery. We have other brands UPS in our office and never replaced any battery. APC is not a reliable name anymore.
