some have bugs
Ordered this item - first one was defective in that the "rippling brook' sound did not sound. Amazon immediately shipped another one out with instructions for return of the first one. works fine, but overpriced
This item is useful and suits it's purpose. It is a little over priced for a "gadget" that merely puts ripples in the water and emits a rippled water sound.

Ordered this item - first one was defective in that the "rippling brook' sound did not sound. Amazon immediately shipped another one out with instructions for return of the first one.
Second one kept stopping for about the first 24 hours of use - seems to be working fine now. The first one had the on/off switch on the exterior of the unit - the replacement one does not - in order to turn it off you have to take a screw driver and remove the top and then remove the batteries. Overall, I like the product - do wish they had left the on/off switch on the product.

Great product; keeps water moving for birds, and repels mosquitoes. Batteries last a long time, too. I liked the first one so much I bought a second.

Great idea but very poorly implemented. If you go ahead and purchase anyway, BE SURE TO KEEP THE BOX AND RECEIPT. I didn't hence this poor review. On my unit the motor failed that wiggles the water, after less than 90 days of usage! The rippling brook sound is still present but the wiggler did fail. I tried all sorts of new batteries, but to no avail.

I chose this item because the dimensions stated 5" x 5" x 7". This item is NOT 7" tall, barely 5".
