The apple VESA mount installs quickly and easily. Some say the adapter is hard to install, but I have to disagree. Just thread on the first screw and leave it slightly loose, then thread in the second screw while pushing the mount down to help with the alignment of the second screw. Then proceed to tighten both screws fully. The tight fit helps keep a solid fitment. This is a fine piece, nicely finished and blends in perfectly with the aluminum Apple Cinema Displays. I used this adapter with the Ergotron LX Desk Mount Arm and the final assembly looks and works great.

Clean and easy install in minutes. Keep in mind, this is for use with 20-, 23-, and 30-inch Apple Cinema Displays (Anodized Aluminum) not the newer ones.

I love my Apple monitor, and this made it even better. I just bought a Dell monitor to go next to it and am very unhappy with the quality of it. It wouldn't have been a bargain at half the price. My Apple monitor on this and an Ergotron monitor arm is wonderful.

If I could only rate it 0 stars, I would... The design of this is horrible -- the screws strip easily, you must apply a great deal of force (they even say in the directions USE A HIGH TORQUE SCREWDRIVER and when you do you strip the heads out of the cheap screws). The big plate that mates to the piece you install in place of the desk stand DO NOT line up and one CANNOT make this thing work as intended. Don't know if there are variations in manufacturing tolerances between the different devices this thing is intended to work with (Cinema Display, Thunderbolt Display, iMacs of various sizes) but I hope Apple redesigns this because it's a complete waste of $39 and, unfortunately, seemingly the only solution for wall mounting. BOOO APPLE! TERRIBLE!

would not pay retail ... i'm glad because it's not worth the ridiculous price apple demands ...

Apple quality standards on these adapters is not so good. There were a couple of nick marks where i can see the milling machine had not made clean cuts.

In practice this device works as predicted, but really takes away form the elegant lines of my HD display. Mounting the monitor on an arm sounded good in thought, but in real life made the monitor looked cheap. Im going to re-attach the standard stand, and opt for a monitor lift kit to make space on my desk.

Every cheapest monitor on the market has it as an standard accessory and only Apple robs you for $30 for a plain piece of metal. What a shame and what a greed!

It was advertised for the 27 iMac but in order for it to work with it you need to get additional parts and I'm not referring to a telescopic arm only. Ask before you buy.
