Reasonable Price,

This product is very reasonably priced. The power chord for the Macbook consists of two pieces. The reason there are two pieces to the power chord is, one part has the grounder (the three prong wall adapter) and the other does not. I had lost the three prong part of the power chord, and was forced to use the two prong portion. This was fine until that box on the two prong portion of the power cord shorted out. (If you own a Macbook, you know what I mean my "the box on the power chord"). It was then, that I realized that the three prong wall adapter is crucial if you are keeping your Macbook plugged in for extended periods of time. I will not say how much the three prong power chord is at the Apple Store in Manhattan, but it is ridiculously overpriced. Amazon had the best price on the internet.
I am writing this review over one year after my purchase, and I've had no problems with the power chord or any shortages.

A good inexpensive alternative to apple's ridiculously overpriced replacement power cords. You'd have to look closely to be able to tell the difference between this knockoff and the mac version.

I needed an extra power cord for my Mac laptop computer so that I would not have to continually disconnect the power source at home and pack it up when I needed to take my laptop on the road. It was very handy to just be able to keep the extra power cord in my laptop case and not have to continually fool with the one at my home desk setup. For the relatively low cost, it made my life much more efficient and I highly recommend it.
