5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Numerical Recipe, August 14, 2009
This book is an excellent compilation of numerical methods. For someone tryig to learn either one particular method or general approaches, this book is a wonderful starting point. For example, to bridge atomistic methods with continuum approaches, the meshless method chapter proves very useful; to set proper boundary conditions of dislcoation dynamics, the boundary element method chapter provides an excellent reference. The book is well written, and various chapters are in good synergy. The book is particularly useful for researchers entering the field of computational engineering/science at the continuum level.
