AQUADOODLE MINI MATS: Elmos World

My daughter recieved this toy as a gift, and we both love it! There are a couple of (minor) problems with it, but I still give it 5 stars. Here is the break-down:

Positives:
Provides an easy and clean way for young kids to 'color,' and it actually comes out in color! Also small enough to fit in any diaper bag easily and not take up much room at all!


Negatives:
The pages bend easily, and don't stay 'colored' as long as the mat does.

I like this aquadoodle set better than the basic floor mat that I bought because the mat doesn't 'color' in color, but only blue. The mat, however, is more durable, and a MUCH bigger size to 'color' on. This is a perefect toy to travel with!

My 2 year old cannot see a surface without scribbling on it..I have to have all my pens, crayons, markers, etc...under lock and key and if I gave it to her to play with, I could not leave her side...or she would immidiately write on walls, furniture, etc... Then I discovered Aquadoodle...she was not too entertained my the floor mat..It has no pictures and would only busy her for a few minutes...But the character coloring mats are the BEST!!! She thinks she's coloring and since they are reuseable, I just alternate them and she is entertained for a long time...I keep some in the car and whenever we want to go out for dinner...they are lifesavers! She still tries so scribble on other surfaces but since it is only water, be my guest!

These mini versions of the real thing are perfect for travel, as well as simply sitting at the table for some quiet time. These "pre-colored" mats are perfect for little ones to improve their coloring skills. My daughter loves seeing what appears. She never gets bored of it. Best yet, they are nice and small, and reusable. This price might be a bit high, so check around locally.

this is great for the car or church or anywhere. No mess. Also, it can be taken apart to share a page with a playmate & they can also use paintbrushes with water for a change. Of course the "pen" is better for the no-mess part. we love these & have as many as we could find. Also, my daughter recently painted one with finger paint & I thought it was ruined, but I washed it off & it's just fine. Very durable.

This is the kind of toy that if test-marketed to adults or older kids would've never taken off, but my son finds it entertaining. he will play with these Aquadoodle mats for at least a half-hour sometimes. Usually he flits around the house destroying things so anything that makes him sit still for a while is a pretty good toy.

Mildly amusing to my 2-year old. But the colors are faint and can be seen w/out using the pen. WAY to expensive for what it is.
