This was a very poor quality product. My 4 year old daughter broke the handles on day one of her usage in a swimming class.

I bought two of these to help my 7 and 9 year olds feel a little more secure in our pool, but they haven't been able to use them at all. This kickboard is really cheap, the handles break easily, and it is so small that they wouldn't even work on my petite 7 year old.

I need to buy a different kick board since this one seems so cheap. I thought that since it has more handles it was a better buy. I was wrong and I'm just going to buy one that has no handles.

My 7 yrs old didn't use the kickboard for more than 3 times the slot where he could slip his hand in on both sides of the kickboard broke apart. I have to use household duct tape to tape the broken part. I haven't tried it with being taped up in the water yet. But amazingly the board is little in size, it does hold my son (40 lbs and 45 inches long) up in the water. However, I still think for younger than 7 yrs like 5 yrs old would be comfortable with larger size kickboard. This blue kickboard is too small for 5-6 yrs to feel comfortable to hold it. For its size and how easily the foam can break, it should cost around $8.00 rather that the high $12.
