Product Description

These fake suppressors are, as the name implies. NOT sound suppressors (silencers), but they look just the same. They will screw right onto the 1/2x28 threads of pre and post ban AR-15 rifles. Rugged, all steel construction means they will add weight and steadiness to the barrel. Both ends welded so no components can be added, they are a "dress up" item only. Click this ad for the 6 inch model, see other ad for the 12 inch and 9"model. Will not fit Bushmaster (coming soon).

Looking at getting one of these, and believe it or not for a practical reason.

I have a .300 AAC Blackout AR pistol I just had built with a 8.5" barrel. It has a 12" quad rail attached, the final build incorporating a 7" suppressor that will stick roughly 3" out the end of the quad rail. Problem is, its going to be most of a year before Bammy's ATF gets done slogging thru the tedious act of issuing the tax stamp.

Meanwhile I have a gun that if fired as is, will get burned powder fouling all over the front half of the quad rail, and if the operator is not careful, powder burns on their hands.

Therefore, I would want to put a fake can like this on my gun until I have the real deal on hand to shoot with. Even then, I also have a .308 rifle that the real suppressor is interchangeable with, when its on that gun I'd still need the fake can on this one to have it in shooting condition. So this does have a use as a barrel extension for unconventionally configured firearms.

Star rating is really hypothetical, I am presuming it fits well on the threads.

I bought five of these, one for each day of the week. They failed MISERABLY at silencing or even suppressing the sound created by a 5.56mm round, or even a .223 for that matter!! I bought this, thinking it was a *wink* and a nudge at being a "Fake" suppressor. There aren't even any baffles or wipes in this!! What the heck man? I thought that at least one of the five of these would work, but no!

I will say, though, that it did increase the length of my rifle considerably, which is always a plus in my book (ladies). It looks especially nice on my cut-down M4 barrel (some might say, "but that defeats the purpose of having a carbine," and to them I say, "Shut up!" and "You're double parked in a Handicapped space, so I'm going to have to write you a citation" and that always shuts them up!). The weight added to my rifle was negligible, which is good, seeing as it already weighs in at an inspiring 13 1/2 pounds, which is easily double the weight of those wimpy, stripped down S&W M&P15 "Sport" Models (haha!).

So now all my fellow Ninjas down at the Mall laugh at me...
