This "Z Type" carry handle mount is much higher quality than expected and provides a sturdy platform to mount a scope, flashlight, and laser-sight (etc), while preserving the functionality of the iron sights thanks to the see through "U" shaped upper rail. The mount connects to carry handle of the AR-15 using the thumb nut and it is impossible to install incorrectly. I tried this on both a removable and an integrated carry handle, and it was a good snug fit on each. The two side mounts on the lower rail are movable using the included allen wrench, giving additional flexibility for mounting accessories.

Once you get everything configured the way you want it, I recommended applying Henkel 01-24200 Loctite 6-ml Threadlocker 242 on all of the screw threads to keep everything nice and tight.

This is a worthwhile accessory that allows additional functionality, without being too intrusive when nothing else is mounted on the rails.

came as ordered, nicely put together and pretty sturdy but has a bit of play, wouldnt suggest mounting high powered scopes or anything for shooting over 50+ yards. a red dot sat nicely and held its zero pretty good on a 556, i had to build up a small bedding for a 3-9X to mount up and hold on without too much play(and with the bedding you can still use the irons!)

great for the price for a red dot or holo but just swap the receiver to a flat top if your gonna run a longer tubed scope
