The riser was purchased to get my scope eye piece off the charging handle of my picitanny rail equipped rimfire rifle. With this riser, I can zero my scope, set the eye relief distance correctly, and removed it easily. You can finger tighten or mechanically tighten the thumbscrews to secure this riser to your existing rail. For M4 style rifles, this is just the ticket to use large objective lens scopes. Secure and solid feel, I'd recommend this to anyone looking to lift top rail accessories up off the top plane of the weapon.

I bought the 3/4" AR15 Riser to mount a Bushnell Red Dot Sight on my Stag Arms Model 2 AR15 (no carry handle). The Riser fit perfect and still allowed me to keep the standard "Peep" sight mounted on the top rail. The Riser and Red Dot Sight are easily removed and replaced as a unit utilizing the two knurled mounting screws on the Riser. Once removed, I can "flip-up" the Peep sight and still maintain target alignment. The Bushnell Red Dot Sight mounted to the Riser with no problems and made a tight fit. For the price, I'm impressed with the quality of the Ar15 Riser and would recommend it for a Stag Model 2 application.
