2.0 out of 5 stars High expectations low results July 18, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
I ordered this product after EXTENSIVE research conducted over nearly a year. I could not find a single negative commentary or remark about it. I watched every video I could and asked for thoughts from those who have used it. I finally took the plunge and bought one. I tested it three times in the safety of my property. The first use took over an hour to fill using the exhaust. The second time I used the air compressor in my garage. It filled fast but the vehicle wobbled alot while up and the jack only lifted it about 4 inches. On the third attempt I used the air compressor to fill it once again. The jack rolled, the truck dropped and I gave up. If you are going to use this in soft sand I say take the leap. Anyplace else? Use a different tool.

I use this with my customer Early Bronco (1972) This is far more useful and less cumbersome than the high lift jack I had been using. Occasionally the capabilities of my rig get me in to areas that require this. ***Note it is never my fault that I get stuck :) But I have used this a few times where the winch and snatch gear would take too long to set up or the high lift jack just sorta sinks or is a bit unstable. This conforms to any surface that I have run across or run into to (again NOT my fault) and makes recovery a cinch.

So if you are like me and sometimes you get stuck due to someone else being at fault this is a great way to get yourself our of trouble and is often MUCH faster than traditional winch and if used in combo with a winch you are nearly stuck proof. Easy to use and set up and as long as your vehicle is still running you are good to go.

And while it isn't advertised to do this you just may be able to use it to help tip your vehicle back over if you have somehow rolled over or tipped over in to a crevice. Again not my fault. :)

1.0 out of 5 stars This is insanely stupid and dangerous December 21, 2011
Any car that requires a very low or 'null' exhaust backflow will be SEVERELY damaged if you use this. This mostly means rotary engines, high output small blocks and most hybrids will seize up. Plus, this thing is incredibly dangerous to ventilate out, as the gasses you're trapping are LETHAL.

Also, if you over fill the bag, it can (and will) cause ANY vehicle, regardless of exhaust system, to be damaged. Whomever came up with this idea really should have rethought it, because this is beyond stupid.

1.0 out of 5 stars Stupid is as stupid does... December 10, 2012
Does anyone else fail to see the stupidity in this idea? Running vehicle, hose in exhaust pipe, huge bag of exhaust fumes building up to lift a vehicle up while it's running? And what would happen if said big bag of exhaust fumes were to burst while lifting up your vehicle while you are working on it? This is Darwin Award tool of the Year material...
