4.0 out of 5 stars I love this game--lots of fun!
This game is so much fun for people of all ages. It's not hard to put together, and it works really well. It takes 2 D batteries for the pin reset function, and some other batteries (I think AA) at the control pad at the end of the alley. The control pad turns the game on and off and is where you tell the game if you miss the pins and to move to the next frame. It has...

2.0 out of 5 stars What a pain!
Before I bought this my kids used to set up water bottles in the kitchen as bowling balls and now....they still do! I bought this game 2 years ago and it has been used ONE time! The set up wasn't too bad(although it took some time). My then 13 year old nephew did it! However, our house just isn't big enough to keep it set up. When I purchased it I wrongly assumed that the...

4.0 out of 5 stars I love this game--lots of fun!, December 7, 2007

This game is so much fun for people of all ages. It's not hard to put together, and it works really well. It takes 2 D batteries for the pin reset function, and some other batteries (I think AA) at the control pad at the end of the alley. The control pad turns the game on and off and is where you tell the game if you miss the pins and to move to the next frame. It has 6 pins that are attached to the top. The pins reset when you're finished with a frame, and this function has never jammed on me. If it ever does mess up, you have a reset pins button on the control pad to fix that. When you hit a strike, it yells, "Strike!" and with a spare, "You got the spare! Great roll!" It makes a sound each time you hit any pins. The game automatically keeps score for you. I think there are only about six frames, so the game isn't very long. I've only found two problems with this. First, it truly is 7 feet long. Sometimes it's hard to find that much space, and the space needs to be flat for the ball return to work. I have mine on a table, and I need to elevate the legs near the return a little to get the balls to roll all the way to the end of the alley. Second, the space needs to be permanent, because this would be a pain to assemble every time you want to play it. It's hard to move assembled (I tried and broke a small tab off near the ball return. I glued it and it still works).

5.0 out of 5 stars Bowl at home, January 17, 2008

This is a great product! It does only have 6 plastic pins and the plastic blue balls are smallish, but it is still fun and we are glad we got it. Our sons, 8 and 4 love to bowl and this is a nice toy they can play together without too much commotion. The score keeper is great and the coolest part about the toy is the ball return! How great!
Worth it for the price.

Please note, this toy is a pain to put together and make sure you do hear the snap as instructed when following the well-written directions. It is made pretty well, but once together, you will want to keep it in it's place.

4.0 out of 5 stars electronic bowlercade, January 7, 2008

My 4 year old son received this for Christmas and LOVES it. It is great for the 3-6 year range, beyond that and a child would be bored. It has an automatic ball return and keeps score digitaly. Draw backs are that it is not overly sturdy so if you throw the ball too hard the pins can drop out. But overall lots of fun.

2.0 out of 5 stars What a pain!, June 18, 2011
This review is from: Electronic Bowlercade (Misc.)
When I purchased it I wrongly assumed that the manufacturer would make a SEVEN FOOT game storeable! Boy was I wrong! With a 7 and 4 year old, who have an attention span of roughly 10 minutes, it never seemed worth it to re-assemble.

So, if you have a lot of space to fill this really is a fun game. If not, avoid this game. It's not very fun stored in a closet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Game is fun but Kids Toys Moms Delight Co. is the GREATEST, April 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Electronic Bowlercade (Misc.)
The company that we purchased this item is Kids Toys Moms Delight. Although the information on the website stated that the bowling game came with the electronic scorekeeper and automatic pin reset, the one that I received did not. It was the same game that was sold by JC Penney for a lot less. I wanted the more expensive one that included the other features. When I talked with the rep at Kids Toys Moms Delight, he explained the whole story behind these games, and it appears that the manufacturer does not sell the model with the other features. I checked around and could not find any with the added features, so I kept the one from Kids Toys Moms Delight and they adjusted the price to match the price at JC Penney. The whole thing was resolved in less than 2 days. I can't say enough good things about this company. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and made everything right. I will always choose this company to make purchases of toys on Amazon.com. The kids like the game too.
