Product Description

Long Service Life
The Fluid Dynamic Bearing comes with an oil capsule that avoids lubricant leakage. Thus this bearing is as quiet as a sleeve bearing but comes with a significantly higher service life.

Perfect Case Fan Regulation with PWM
The PWM function allows the motherboard to run the fan precisely at its necessary speed. This guarantees the required cooling and minimizes the noise level.

Patented PWM Sharing Technology (PST) Lowers Noise
If you want to improve the cooling efficiency of your computer you get several case fans working in parallel (since it takes 10 fans to double the noise level). But what does it help if they don't work together? The PST assures that all of your fans listen to one control signal. E.g. you share the CPU Cooler's PWM signal and assure that your case fans stand down at low load and spin up whenever necessary.

Innovative Design Enables Quiet and Efficient Ventilation
The innovative design of the fan blades improves the air flow and facilitates a highly efficient ventilation. The impeller was designed with a focus on minimizing the noise level yet delivering the desired airflow and pressure.

Fan Speed: 850 - 2,000 RPM
Air Flow: 31 CFM / 52.7 m³/h
Noise Level: 0.3 Sone
Connector: 4-pin
Warranty: 6 years limited (Contact Manufacturer ARCTIC)

A very quiet 80mm PWM fan that can push pretty good air.

Plus I like how I can connect/daisy chain other PWM fan to it and be able to control them via the MB bios.

And they do a pretty good job of keeping the system cool..

I purchased two of these for my HTPC to replace the stock Antec Tri cool fan.
The tricool was quiet at the lowest setting, but my temps were getting a little high.

Using 2 of these my i3 2105 doesn't get above 60 C. I have the stock cooler on the the CPU, this is in an Antek ISK-300 case.

The PWM splitters are great. Case fans only ramp up when the CPU load does, and never get to a noise level that bothers me.

Check the amperage that your motherboard allows for fan headers before connecting too many to the same one. My gigabyte Mini ITX board allows .7. With two of these and the stock cooler I'm drawing .5 amps from the CPU Fan header.

One of mine broke during shipping, but only a corner of the frame, I mounted it anyhow... No vibration or anything.

A very quiet 80mm PWM fan that can push pretty good air. I put one in my media pc case, and installed one in the back of my media cabinet that the pc is in.

My media cabinet was getting pretty warm due to very little open air space inside, and no venting (I had to keep the cabinet door open to keep the temperature down). I cut a small whole in the back of the cabinet and attached one 80mm fan to it. I installed the other fan inside my pc case and spliced and extended the wire from this fan so I could connect/disconnect the cabinet fan at the back of my pc case(do not attempt unless you are very familiar with electrical wiring and you do not mind voiding any warranties on your pc and pc components), so both fans are controlled by the motherboard.

These fans are quieter than the existing fans in my media pc. The whole system is much quieter now that I can finally keep the cabinet door closed. Since installing these fans I have never had any problems with the temperature.

I will be buying more of these for a LAN PC Gaming case build! They are great!

They seem fine to me.

The model I got can be hooked up with 3 or 4 pin headers and have all the leads to optionally sync more fans via your choice of sources. I.E. Daisy chain several fans to run the same speed as the CPU fan. The PWM lead can be moved independently to any PWM lead you like.

I've run several of these for well over a year and they're still chugging along smoothly.
The fans are well balanced (no funky buzzes or wobbly noise).

Price was competitive, and these have been some of the best 80mm fans I've ever used.

What can I say, it's a fan! At full rpm (~2400 rpm) it is nearly inaudible, but pushes a fair amount of air. A unique feature this fan has is the PWM header at the end of the cable, giving you the ability to connect another 3 pin or 4 pin (PWM) fan. They even went out of their way to make the RPM cable on the fan a separate cable that can be plugged into the header. This is convenient because if you do connect another fan to the extra header, you don't want 2 RPM signals going to the motherboard.

Artic Cooling is the best!

Overall great quiet fans that move more air than the previous ones I had at this size. The PST feature gives you optional configurations.

Took me a moment to understand how these worked.

After plugging the 4 pin (4 wire) cable to my 4 pin motherboard header the fan worked but I had no speed readout. In order to get the speed indication, the second cable (1 wire on a 3-pin plug) had to be connected to either the top of the 4 pin cable socket or another motherboard header.

I used the daisy chain feature for two of them and was still able to get individual fan speed readouts by placing one speed wire on the top of the daisy chain and the other on an empty uncontrolled header. Of course both fans are controlled off the daisy chained header the second just displays the second fans speed.

Takes a bit longer to setup, mostly because you'll want to use wire ties (zip) to clean up the clutter of the extra cables, but the extra configuration options make them worth it. No more splitters or heavy over sized Molex adapters to deal with if you use these.

I was attracted to this fan because of its compatibility with my motherboard (PWM speed control) and its fluid bearings, which are supposedly less noisy especially with age. I should have read the fine print. The oddball wiring arrangement is supposed to let you cascade several fans on a motherboard designed to support only one. Clever I guess if you need that. But it does mean that you can't just plug it in and have it work. My solution was to use a jeweler's screwdriver to carefully remove several pins from the attached sockets and put them back the way it should have been to begin with. This left an unused socket and a couple of spare wires but now the fan works with a standard motherboard connection. If I had found another fan that had the PWM control and fluid bearings in the right size I'd have bought it but I didn't find one.

I got these (two 8mm and one 9mm Arctic Cooling fans) because I wanted quiet fans. My old fans had gotten quite noisy. These are quiet, but they don't work like the old ones did.

My old fans used to run very fast when the computer started up, then slow down after startup. These fans didn't do that. They ran the same speed all the time. My computer wouldn't boot up because the fan speed was too slow until I changed the bios to ignore the fan speed.

I had to use the Speedfan program to regulate the speed of the fans according to the CPU and case temperature. It remains to be seen how they will work when summer comes and the room gets hot. Even in a cold room, the CPU is already running up to 60 degrees centigrade under heavy load with all fans spinning at top speed, which seems a bit hot to me. I might need fans that spin faster.

I decided not to replace the old power supply fan with the new fan because of wiring differences. The new fan has a three-prong connector with a single wire, where the old fan had the same kind of connector, but with two wires. I decided not to try it.

So far, the fans are quiet, even at top speed, which is one of my goals. We'll see how they do when summer comes.
