Older devices can possibly be charged only at the black ones. The home charger 4500 charges Samsung Galaxy tab, Samsung Galaxy note, Hyundai t7s, LG Optimus 7 and Odys Xelio only with max. 1a. Samsung Galaxy tab and Samsung Galaxy note are not showing that the device is charging. Led lights - every port has its own led light that shows you if a device is being charged and how fast. Another led signaling the function of the charger if a total load of 4a is exceeded. More than enough power - with a total output of 4500ma, you can fast charge a combination of four smartphones and tablets without overloading the home charger 4500. 86% efficiency does not just save you electricity cost; it also keeps the adapter's temperature low and makes it live longer. Worry-free charging thanks to its thermal, short circuit, over-current and over-voltage protection, you can rely on this wall USB charger to charge all your USB gadgets worry-free.

The plug is non-polarized and has prongs of equal size.

As a charger: five stars, but less one star for design choices that limit its flexibility around already crowded outlets.

In fact, it's about the same size as some single and dual port chargers even though it offers four output ports.

This charger lives up to its specs. Against a static load all four ports were able to deliver nearly two Amps at around five volts. It the world of low cost USB charges that is as close as you'll get and lots better than most costing considerably more.

In practice it charged my iPad Air at 0.8 Amps off a low power port and 1.2 Amps off one of the high power ports.

It can be powered from anywhere in the world that provides 110 to 240 volts at either 50 or 60 Hz and you don't need to flip any switches to select the power source.

The manufacturer provided this sample so I could provide an honest review and honestly, I'll be taking this charger with me om my next trip.

I am a big fan of multi-port USB chargers. They are very handy for quickly charging multiple devices while only using one qall receptacle. For me, this is especially handy when I am traveling and spending time in a hotel room, since it allows me to charge my iPad, iPhone, and power a USB speaker all from one device.

The Arctic Charger is among my favorites, since it has 4 USB charging ports in one compact plug. The Arctic Home Charger can easily fit into my backpack for travel - ideally the prongs could be folded away, but other than that it is a very tight design.

Notes-

- Comes with four USB ports - and while they are not specifically labeled - it presume the two fast charge ports are at 1Amp each, while the two super fast ports are 2amps. - This means that are four ports can not be used at once.In practice you can use one of the 2amps and both 1amp ports.

- Front indicator shows which of the USB ports that are in use.

- Nice small design

- Finally, the plug works very well, and the "super fast" ports work well for charging my iPad.

Final Verdict - A well designed travel charger for charging multiple devices

Although I tend to prefer chargers that have a power cord that plugs into the wall outlet, this has been a very capable performer mainly due to its size. It's far more compact than any other multi-outlet charger I've used. In fact, it's about the same size as some single and dual port chargers even though it offers four output ports.

The build quality seems solid. The outlet prongs don't fold, which is both a pro and a con. A con since it's less laptop case friendly; a pro since the foldable prong versions always seem to fold up when you don't want them to. The output ports are very close together, but I was able to fit in 4 USB cables without a problem. Tight fit, but very workable.

There are LED indicators on the charger to show the ports in use and any error/problem situations. The indicators are clearly visible but don't shine like a beacon in a dark room. Each port has overload protection, which is a big plus.

A very capable and versatile charger. Zero complaints.

ARCTIC made this very small wall charge small and safe. It has a 4.5 Amp total output with 4 USB ports and the power is excellent for charging Kindle boos, MP3, tablets as well as smartphones. There are 1 dedicate ports for tables and each of the 4 fast charge ports has its own LED indicator that lets you know which device you're charging is ready and which needs more charge time. Each has overload protection, too.

It is truly a plug and play device. The wall plugs stick out the back - the one thing I would have preferred is that they be foldable for convenience of storage. But you can leave this device plugged in and ready to charge at all times, so if there is a designated wall plug convenient to your workspace, then the non-folding aspect is not a problem. It works well and is very dependable. Grady Harp, March 14

This is a straightforward high powered 4-USB charging adapter. It plugs either on a 120V or 220V house outlet. You can plug 4 devices at one time and it is rated for a total of 4.5A. I plugged my iPad on both the orange and white outlet and they both worked. However the 2 orange outlets on the left may not work some Nokia and Blackberries; plug them instead on the 2 right outlets which are universal.

Pros:
- high power
- built-in overload protection. If more than 4.5A is being drawn, the charger will automatically shut off.

Cons:
- no foldable prongs

UPDATE: 3/1/2014 - I like this charger so much. The indicator lights are awesome because you can see from across the room whether a connected device has completed charging or not. VERY helpful.

Multiple outlet USB chargers are a must in my household... We have so many devices and never an available USB outlet for charging them. Having this 4-port charger ends the long queue for devices waiting to be charged. Now up to 4 devices at a time can be charged. Nirvana.

This is quite a compact charger; much smaller than other wall chargers I've seen. It measures about 3" wide by 2" tall and is only 1" thick. It fits close to the wall when plugged in which is nice. The plug is not polarized and does not fold into the body like some other chargers. Not a big deal but a folding plug does have advantages when traveling as it gets the prongs out of the way so they don't snag on clothing, etc.

The charger runs on 100-240V, 50/60Hz so can be used Internationally.

The four USB outputs provide a total of 4500mA. Although not clearly specified, the Orange ports seem to provide up to 2.1A output and the other 2 ports seem to be 1A ports. But the total output is limited to 4.5A. Each port is protected individually against overload. The front of the charger has LED indicator lights for each of the 4 ports and another LED to indicate that power is reaching the charger. Thankfully the LED's are subdued and not nearly as blindingly bright as many other LED indicators are. Thank you Arctic.

The individual LED s for each of the 4 USB output ports provide a helpful indication of status:

- Slow flashing - Charging output is below 1A
- LED On - Charging output is between 1.
