Heavy, Cobby and will pitch a mile. This reel is a little rough around the edges and difficult to get the side plate off, but very tough and that's what flipping and pitching in bushes is all about. I have never had a reel that would pitch this far, lots of control because your thumb is on the smooth metal spool and not on the bumpy line. Only complaint is that there isn't a flipping switch.

I purchased this reel for my grandson. The first time he fished with it, the reel made some grinding sounds and it did not work smoothly. The reel was returned to Amazon and a new reel was sent to my grandson.
After fishing with the new reel on several occasions, the reel made the grinding sound just like the first one.
This time it was sent back to Amazon for a refund.
As you might expect, I am not a fan of this reel. Other fishermen who purchased this reel must have had better luck with it than us. I think the idea of a Flip-N-Pitch reel is a good idea, but this one needs some design changes.
On the other hand, I want to thank Amazon for their return policy and prompt attention to our problems with this reel.

It's okay, but in hindsight, I'd just get a regular reel. There's nothing all that special about this real. The downside is that the spool holds such a small amount of line that you cant use it for anything but pitching and flipping.
