During the past few years, interest in those who actually live a vampiristic lifestyle has burgeoned enormously. Only a trickle of accurate information has emerged concerning these fascinating individuals, and this material, while edifying, tends to reflect the viewpoints of similar, relatively homogeneous groups. But vampirism as a consciously adopted life-path springs from far deeper psychosocial roots than what has thus far been made public. The so-called "Ardeth," the made vampire, as opposed to one who is born to that state, is not merely different than the rest of humanity: (S)he is an entity who has been alchemically transformed and equilibrated. In fact, Ardeth vampirism is one of the most potent Left Hand Path (LHP) lifestyles available, and for this very reason has long remained concealed to all but the most dedicated seekers.

This Book throws opens the door to made vampirism for the first time in Western literature. In doing so, it clearly illuminates some of the darkest corners of occult theory and practice. Most importantly, it directly answers the question most commonly encountered by authorities on matters occult: "How can I become a vampire?" Unlike other tomes, this remarkable book deals not with vampirism as an inherited condition but rather with vampires who have been self-created as a result of fully deliberate, conscious decision. The Book also details the correct magickal pathway to becoming one of these "made vampires" step-by-step, so that any intelligent reader may move forward to experience the requisite initiations and undergo the root elevation that has lain hidden for centuries at the heart of the Ardetha.

Wanna turn? Tired of lamers with plastic fangs writing about how "you have to be born like us to be a vampire"? This book should have been written years ago. Nyarlathotep and Lindsay know what they're talking about. They can get you there, too!

Like the previous two reviews of this book, there is finally a book to offer good source information on the topic of the vampire in occult lore, and functional practice. I rate it as four stars only because the information presented here is great for a beginner; however the information presented here can be found and learned through serious study throughout the web. Therefore, if you wish to take a lot of the sorting out of fact and fiction away from scouring the web for accurate information, as well as older texts of the occult, this book is great.
Yet, I would not recommend this text for anyone beyond the novice point in the occult (excluding those whom are interested in the "Right Handed Path") because at this point you should already know how to sort through information and find the gleaming jewels of truth without having to rely solely upon the experience written down by someone else.
