I should have knew better.

This expander couldn't handle any size tubing that I tried it on, broke the second attempt.
Bruce
The 2 1/8"-3 1/2" expander will not even fit my 2 1/4" ID exhaust.

The first thing I noticed when I opened up the package was that the expanding sections had rather gnarly raised protrusions from the casting or molding process all around the edges. This would chew up any exhaust pipe, ripping it apart instead of smoothly expanding the pipe. It took me quite a few hours to smooth everything out with a hand file. (A dremel with a bunch of sanding drums could probably speed this up, but I had a file at the time and didn't want to go through that many drums, as the metal is quite hard, which is a good thing.) After cleaning all the edges up and all the sliding contact points on the conical sections, these work just fine. However, don't expect to use them adequately straight out of the box without seriously messing up your tubing.

I bought the tail pipe expander expecting it to work with 1.250 tubing and it would not fit inside the tube. It would not even fit inside 1-3/8" muffler pipe.

well, the sizes that the peices stretch out to are not the exact stretch size. it might say 3 1/2, but it is a true 3 1/8 and that is way smaller then 3 1/2, so of coarse as usual, i had to pull out the welder and just weld my mufflers on. on top of it, the threading also stripped out on the nut. not very happy about it. it would be nice if it worked properly, but it turned out it was a waste of money.

This expander couldn't handle any size tubing that I tried it on, broke the second attempt. Threads stripped out, expanding fixtures are not hardened, almost like pot metal. Junk tool, don't waste a penny on it, its not worth anything.
