This DVD covers the first four editions of the International exhibition of prints entitled L'Arte e il Torchio" ("Art and the Printing Press"), Cremona 1999/2005. The exhibition represents an important reference in the panorama of the art of printmaking in Italy and abroad, organized by A.D.A.F.A. ("Amici dell'Arte - Famiglia artistica") in collaboration with the Municipality of Cremona and the Province of Cremona; it is composed of various sections - on invitation :
This DVD covers the first four editions of the International exhibition of prints entitled L'Arte e il Torchio" ("Art and the Printing Press"), Cremona 1999/2005. The exhibition represents an important reference in the panorama of the art of printmaking in Italy and abroad, organized by A.D.A.F.A. ("Amici dell'Arte - Famiglia artistica") in collaboration with the Municipality of Cremona and the Province of Cremona; it is composed of various sections - on invitation :
"International Biennial of small size prints", "Italian Engraving "under 35", taking place every four years, "Ex-libris", usually hosted in the Print Museum in Soncino (CR), the exhibition "Contemporary Polish Printmakers" as well as the recent exhibition dedicated to the artists working in the famous Graphicstudio in Tampa (Florida). The most important printmaking techniques used to make original prints will be covered, together with films and interviews of the various protagonists; this tool will allow viewers to get a better knowledge of an art that, yesterday as well as today, can express the highest levels of the artists' poetic world.
