5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the purchase!
I needed a 48V phantom power supply to juice up my Rode NTG-1 microphone. I have a Sony HDR-HC1 camera that takes a microphone input, including an XLR mic - which I have. Looked around at the more expensive phantom supply, which had lots of great reviews, yet hardly anyone said anything about this ART Phantom II Dual Supply. I took a gamble and purchased it. It works...

3.0 out of 5 stars Works, but could use a little improvment
The Art Phantom II is quiet and does its job but the battery connector situation needs improvement for people such as myself who need to drag this box around to gigs. The two 9-V batteries are connected by loose leads and when you close up the box, you can hear and feel them rattling around in there, probably weakening the fragile wires that connect them to the circuit...

It works great!! It takes a 9V battery - though my only complaint is that the battery jiggles around in its compartment a little bit - but still, it doesn't affect the microphone.

The Art Phantom II is quiet and does its job but the battery connector situation needs improvement for people such as myself who need to drag this box around to gigs. The two 9-V batteries are connected by loose leads and when you close up the box, you can hear and feel them rattling around in there, probably weakening the fragile wires that connect them to the circuit board. Very lame design, not worthy of an 8th grade science fair.

1.0 out of 5 stars Faulty, April 17, 2010
This review is from: ART Phantom II Pro 2-Channel 48V Phantom Power Supply (Electronics)
Purchased the Artcessories Phantom II for a specific microphone used several times a year. It worked on DC 5 or 6 times over a period of 8 months and then failed. After battery replacement, it still did not work.
