OK, so this antenna has very good reception. The thing that isn't mentioned (at least not explicitly enough for me to notice) is that it's a UHF antenna. In my area (I don't know about other areas), FOX and NBC are on UHF and ABC and CBS are on VHF. As such, I don't get CBS and ABC with this antenna.

Just something to be aware of when purchasing this antenna.

Don't be fooled by the fact that this thing looks like a fly-swatter and uses no power. It clearly outperformed a MUCH more expensive powered unit I was using. I'm 35 miles from the nearest station and it pulled in several with no trouble and no need to reposition the the unit. I'm using it with a converter box, BTW.

2011 Update: I just got my first HD flat panel TV and used this antenna (still 35 miles from the nearest xmtter) and now have stations 60 miles away coming in great.

I used to own a larger powered antenna but a friend let me borrow this one. It pulled in more reception than my previous one and works great! At this price, you can't beat it and it can easily be tucked away behind your TV or attached to a window.

I ordered this antenna because of its rosy reviews. I got it yesterday and hooked it up today. It is no better or worse than the Radio Shack antenna it replaced. It is very much smaller, I will admit. But not the gee wiz gadget implied by the other reviews.

This is a very powerful little antenna. We now receive many more channels, more clearly and consistently, than before.

My only gripe is the chintzy little stand. If it had a better stand, it would get 5 stars.

Works great. Better than the more expensive one j bought and ended up returning. I don't get NBC with it because this only receives UHF. (or is it the other way around?). Anyway, works great for what it is supposed to do.

This antenna was included in the portable Artec 8.5" that I picked up for $50 on black friday. I was really suprised at how well the antenna picked up distant stations. Works as good as the large amplified TERK indoor antenna that I own.

Great little antenna. I pick up a few HD channels which is all I need. More than worth the money.

Okay, thought I'd really see if this thing made a difference so I plugged it in by itself (I have 2 antennas on the roof) and it basically said "Stations? What stations?" couldn't find a single station in my area. So just for grins I plugged in a set of old rabbit ears...guess what? They found all the stations, all in all very disappointing.
