The circus is in town, but guess who can't go due to illness? Poor Arthur, the bespectacled aardvark created by author Marc Brown. In this clever take on issues of disappointment in childhood, Arthur not only has to face the fact he has chicken pox, but that he has also become the object of younger sister D.W.'s jealousy over the extra attention he's getting. Also on the tape is "Arthur and the True Francine," a tense episode in which best pals Muffy and Francine face a strain in their friendship when Muffy cheats on a test and lets Francine take the blame. --Tom Keogh
