This thoughtful episode in the Arthur series tells the story of how the popular, 8-year-old aardvark created by Marc Brown acquires his dog Pal--and then almost loses him when training the pooch proves a large responsibility. Also on the video is "Buster's Dino Dilemma," a funny story in which Arthur and his friend Buster discover a bone while on a fossil-hunting trip for class. This VHS shows how Arthur got his dog,Pal.Arthur wanted a dog,so he had to prove his responsibility.So Arthur signed hundreds of pages saying,Arthur's Pet Buisness.His parents gave them to neighbors,and Ms.Wood(a friendly neighbor with a nasty dog)was Arthur's first customer.Arthur had to take care of many pets a little later,any they were causing mischief,such as chasing D.W out of the bathtub,and bothering Arthur's mother when putting clothes in the washing machine.But soon,Arthur got rid of all the mischief maker,when Ms.Wood came back when her dog,Perky had puppies.So Arthur got to keep one of the puppies,and that was his dog,Pal.
