This review is from: AS (Kindle Edition)
The Kindle edition of As is obviously experimental - and it shows! The impression I have after my first two weeks of subscription is mixed - if we had something approaching the print version on Kindle that would be great for me, but unfortunately there is a lot of work needing to be done. We are warned that the Kindle edition contains no tables, and I am willing to accept this for technical reasons. What this should not allow, however, is sloppy editing, in which the print paper is transferred without much care to electronic format. The interviews, for example, come without the opening headlines and byelines, so the reader is forced to guess the identity of the interviewee. If As were willing to look closely at the finished Kindle product they would realise that they are in fact selling a shoddy rehash of the print edition - without vital information such as scores, team line-ups, league standings and other information which is essential in a sports publication.
