It's a good referece for colon and rectal surgery residents who want an uptodate and fast review of all the important information for their tests. It's a good book for general practitioners too, where they can get precious information about common diseases of colon, rectum and anus in just few pages.

This review is from: The ASCRS Manual of Colon and Rectal Surgery (Paperback)
Surgery is as much art as it is evidence based, the words of the wise are as important as the papers published in NEJM. This handbook serves to combine both, it is incredibly well written, covering all aspects of CRS. Each chapter leaves you with a feeling that you do have a systematic approach and a plan to deal with the different pathologies in the field.
The core text is very concise and written by world leading experts. Includes most of the preoperative and perioperative issues and complications. Figures are well designed and very informative. A true must have for practicing GS, surgical residents alike. A great exam preparation book as well. |
