I was so excited to receive these shoes in the mail! The Asics brand came highly recommended, and I really wanted to like them. Unfortunately, I couldn't.

So why couldn't I like them? Well, since I have a wide foot, I ordered these shoes in a 2E (wide) width. BUT, this shoe definitely does not fit like a 2E (wide) shoe on me. It feels like a much narrower "wide" shoe to me than many other brands that I've worn in the past.

After being disappointed that the shoes did not fit comfortably, and having to return them, I looked up this shoe on other shoe selling sites. One large footwear vendor's customers' feedback showed that 70% of the male buyers of this shoe style felt that it ran narrower than most. I wish I would have known this information before my purchase.

Hi, I broke my ankle into four pieces a couple of years back, and have really struggled to find a shoe that had enough padding and shock absorption, without losing it's integrity in a normal stride. This shoe fits the bill perfectly! It holds my foot straight, and I can wear it all day without any signs of soreness! If this isn't a testament to GEL technology, I don't know what is? Yes I agree that they are a narrow fitting, so make sure you go to a store and try on an ASCICS shoe first, to get your size.

Finally a pair of shoes that fit properly. I no longer have to do the different sizes to find the right pair. And they look good too.

As some of the other reviews have said, this shoe is a bit small for 2E sizes. However, it fit my feet after wearing it a bit. Good show for a great price.

Asics makes quality shoes that hold up well and remain comfortable until they fall apart. Of course, you want to be sure they fit. No matter how well-made they may be, you'll be miserable if the shoe doesn't go on your foot well. So buy a pair locally and wear them for a while. If you like them, you can be confident that the sizes will translate well across the different Asics models. This particular model is a bit gaudier than a few other Asics models, but it's not a clown shoe like some other manufacturers seem to make.
