4.0 out of 5 stars Fluent 2
I have used a pair of New Balance Zips for the last year and liked them...Until i bought the Fluent 2s. The first time i ran in them, i took 2 minutes off my first mile. it felt like the shoes themselves were propelling me forward.

I tried on many different Asics, Sauconys, NBs, Pumas, etc..and these were instantly comfortable. I am a bigger guy, 210 lbs,...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good in warm weather
The cushion isn't very good. The sole is kind of rigid in cold days, not much cushion as I though. As you may know, the material gets very stiff when temperature is low. So, wear it and run in warm weather. Also, check Asics website to see if your feet fit these shoes. Each model is designed for a specific type of feet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fluent 2, April 4, 2010
I have used a pair of New Balance Zips for the last year and liked them...Until i bought the Fluent 2s. The first time i ran in them, i took 2 minutes off my first mile. it felt like the shoes themselves were propelling me forward.

I tried on many different Asics, Sauconys, NBs, Pumas, etc..and these were instantly comfortable. I am a bigger guy, 210 lbs, and i overpronate a bit and the Fluent2s took any discomfort in my knees, legs, and ankles i would get from my old shoes. a lot of cushioning from heel to toe and some arch support, but not too much for a neutral foot.

The transition from heel to toes while in stride is very smooth and makes you want to run faster. i had to add on to my usual route because my pace went up, along with my heart rate, just to get to my usual time.

i recommend these shoes to any bigger runners out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the avid runner, June 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
About a year ago I purchased these shoes for my distance running. In high school I ran track and cross country and my joy of running has continued ever since. My track coach swore by ASICS shoes, praising them as the only running shoe worth buying.

Over the last year I've gone over 1000 miles and they're just starting to show wear (if you wear them in the rain they won't last nearly as long). This is a great shoes with great arch support and worth every penny if you're serious about running.

Bottom line: Great running shoe that will make running easy on your feet. My only warning is if you're new to running and running shoes, they will take about a week to break in and the arch support may feel uncomfortable at first.
