ASIC'S Gel-Kushon TR Training shoe is a well built and durable shoe. The shoe is light but doesn't sacrifice stability. Excellent cushioning and heel support. The shoe is very stylish and requires no break in period. It's a shoe that is just as comfortable walking in as well as running. The perfect shoe for the gym as well as cross training. 3.0 out of 5 stars Looks nice - but I returned them.
I thought the shoes had a nice look but they were too stiff for me. Needs some more cushioning to be considered a cushioning shoe in my opinion.

4.0 out of 5 stars These are not running shoes., December 15, 2011
By
I am size 10 in adidas, Nike, Foot Joy, and every other shoes that I can think of. This was a snug fit for me in a 10 with regular athletic socks which I what I like when they are new because often shoes stretch a little bit.

lateral stability: 10 out of 10
heal cushion: 10 out of 10
arch support 10 out of 10 (for a training shoe running shoes have more by design)

I use these for doing Beachbody workouts like P90X and Insanity. Insanity is really the reason I purchase cross-trainers though. The biggest difference between running shoes and cross-trainers is that cross-trainers are designed for lateral movement. Doing plyometric exercise in running shoes will allow your foot to slip right or left just a little bit then when your foot eventually catches the side of your shoes it strains your knee causing inflammation. I learned that the hard way and it took time, rest and ice to get better.

I have never found a training shoe that I have purchased twice. Either because I have not liked them enough or the company stops making them. So far I like these enough to purchase them again hopefully Asics continues to make them. I they are still here in 6 months I change the review to five stars.

I am a professional athlete and when I need to hit the road for long periods of time to get fit for season, I need a shoe that can take the wear and tear. These shoes were perfect for that. I couldnt have been happier with the shoe.

4.0 out of 5 stars Use it exclusively at the gym, March 9, 2010

used it at the gym now for about one month and it's holding up. Comfortable on the treadmill and good to walk around lifting weights. This cost me $40 on special, and for that price I'm very happy. I've noticed less impact going to my knees/lower back than my previous pair of worn out shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shoes and a great value, February 15, 2010

After I walked my first 5K in January and decided to actually train for my next one in May. So I needed some new shoes. These had good reviews on other sites and were on sale for less than $40. So far I can say that they support my feet well and cushion the blows while running on concrete.
