5.0 out of 5 stars It is helping my knee get better
I have a bad knee but did not want to stop playing tennis. i researched all kinds of tennis sneakers and decided on the gel 2 revolution. It has been a good experience. i play on cement courts, but the gel provides enough cushioning that my knee is not sore after I play 3 sets. In fact my knee is now starting to heal. 1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible Shoe
I am a 5.0 men's player and tried asics for the 1st time. These shoes are WAY too stiff. No flexibility. Pass on this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars These shoes feel like HEAVEN!, March 17, 2010
These shoes have been great for me so far. They have very good cushioning as is the norm with most Asics shoes. My feet have not hurt any since I started playing with these shoes. I can play for hours and hours and there is no pain at all in my legs or feet which I definitely had with other shoes. The low profile of the shoe gives you great lateral support and my bursts to the ball have definitely improved.

I highly recommend these shoes to any tennis player.

There is one drawback: durability, the outsoles have worn out very fast but it is worth it to have the increased speed and comfort.

NOTE: I WISH AMAZON WOULD CARRY A SIZE 12 OF THE BLACK SHOE!!! (I HAVE THE BLUE, VERY FLASHY)

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Squash shoes, September 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought these replacing my Adidas Barricades which I have been wearing for Squash for years. I purchase a new pair of shoes each season and was tired of the Barricades wearing out on the inside leaving my foot exposed to hard materials and blistering. Mind you the Barricades are incredible shoes durability wise but can weigh a lot over time and the inside support materials wear down in less than one season (playing Squash 3-4 times a week, competitively).

So I decided to change to a lighter, tennis shoe and the Asics were it. These shoes are very light weight yet have incredible support, feel and comfort. I have been playing in these for a few months now and have really come to enjoy the lighter shoe (makes me faster), overall comfort, great traction, and wear supports in strategic areas.

Overall, wear is on target with what I expected and have experienced no negative issues (delamination of sole from upper, seams separating, eyelets breaking or toes wearing). I am very impresses with Asics so far and recommend them to anyone who outplays traditional Squash-shoes. These seem more durable for only slighly more than Asics' Squash shoes and have great support.

I bought these from the US, because they weren't in Australia. Great decision as these are superbly comfortable and deliver a great blend of tennis shoe functionality with running shoe comfort. As a bonus they look great too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Shoe, January 31, 2011

I find spending over $30 for a shoe to be redundant, but when I purchased this shoe for Tennis, I found a real difference between my Wilson tennis shoes and this one. These shoe are extremely comfortable, and have good bounce. I used them for tennis towards the end of my season, because my Wilsons wore out. They were great for tennis, and everything in between. I used them for an intense week of PT ran by US Marines (which was difficult) and to campouts. These shoes have been with me through everything for a solid 9 months. I don't where them now because they have really began to fall apart, I think in part to the intense amount of snow that i have had to trudge through. If you use them just for tennis, I have no doubt they can last at least 2-3 seasons. I'm definitely buying another one of these.

4.0 out of 5 stars A little snug but good shoes, January 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I tried ordering dress shoes before online and had to return so I was hesitant but I have always wore the same size with gym shoes so decided why not try these shoes. I was debating different widths but opted for medium. Compared to Reebok and New Balance which I normally wore/wear, these were slightly tighter. I wore them once on the tennis court and the first half hour was a bit uncomfortable but they loosened up. So, not a perfect start but I am happy with the purchase as the next width option would have probably been too big. And, I was less sore the next day than my old shoes. The build quality seems to be good but time will tell on how long these last.

4.0 out of 5 stars So far, best tennis shoe I've worn, November 21, 2010
After trying three different New Balance tennis shoes over the past few years of recerational and competitive play, I now believe the Resolution 2 could be THE shoe. Has all the positive attributes I've read about. Only have worn for approx. six hours on-court at this writing, so no real gauge on the outsole wear but so far so good. I like the light weight, breathability and cushioning. They also have very good support when moving laterally or jumping for that hard to reach overhead shot and landing confidently. I always had to replace the NB inner sole with an aftermarket unit because my achilles tendons would get really sore after hard singles matches. While I still have some soreness--much of it is from the lateral stopping and starting--my legs feel fresher throughout the match without the aid of aftermarket insoles. That also makes the Resolution 2 a bit more cost-attractive especially if you can find them on sale/close-out since there's no need to pay the $ for the extra insoles. I plan to stock up to some degree on the Resolution 2 so I can go for a while without having to worry about availability or higher cost of the new model, whenever that comes out. Though I prefer the black/white color combo, I would use these regardless of color--maybe excepting the silverish blue!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Shoe for Tennis, August 18, 2010
I have been wearing this shoe for about 2 months and love it. I had the Asics Gel-Game 2 (lesser version) and switched to the Addidas Barricade V and had nothing but calf and feet problem with that particular shoe. So after plucking down $110 for the Adidas' shoe, I threw down another $100 for this shoe. Its the first shoe for tennis that I've used that is 100% comfortable and have been completely happy with. Its very low to the ground and snug, unlike the Adidas which seemed high and clunky. I'm buying another pair before they disappear or revamp them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Tennis Shoe - Ever, October 21, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is the best tennis show I have ever worn, and I have been playing tennis since 1957. It is light, attractive and heavily cushioned, which is great news for those of us with bad knees. The colors are vibrant and attract attention from just about everyone.

The price - 10 bucks under normal retail at other online stores - was also attractive.

I'll probably buy another pair shortly.
