5.0 out of 5 stars Great shoe for the money
I'm an avid runner and average about 25 miles a week. I'm 5' 9" and weigh nearly 200lbs. I have been running on Asic's premium shoe, the Gel-Kayano series, for about 5 years now, and decided to "downgrade" to the GT series after my last pair of Kayanos didn't last very long. So far these shoes are great! Every bit the shoe the Kayano is without the premium price. I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not my favorite running shoe anymore.
I've been running in the asics GT 2100 series since the GT 2100s came out. I loved them because it's really hard to find a good running shoe when you have a really wide foot. The shoe doesn't feel that much different than the last generation. It feels a bit more stiff. The main issue was that there is a sharp edge by the medial arch of the shoe. To top that off, the...

I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again or to recommend them to anyone who has a larger frame that needs more cushioning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, February 28, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have the most flat-footed feet in the world, and I've never been able to find a comfortable shoe; or at least one that gave lasting comfort through the day. I read a few good reviews and decided to try these out. It was a great decision! My job entails walking about 6 miles a day on concrete floors and with these shoes my feet rarely bother me anymore. They're extremely lightweight and feel like you're walking on air. They hold up extremely well when running too. The mesh keeps your feet from sweating as badly and the air blowing in them is really refreshing. I love them and recommend them to anyone looking for a great pair of everyday, work or running shoes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not my favorite running shoe anymore., June 21, 2010

I've been running in the asics GT 2100 series since the GT 2100s came out. I loved them because it's really hard to find a good running shoe when you have a really wide foot. The shoe doesn't feel that much different than the last generation. It feels a bit more stiff. The main issue was that there is a sharp edge by the medial arch of the shoe. To top that off, the insert doesn't fit properly in the shoe. It overlaps and gave me some of the worst blisters I've ever had after only running a mile. I'm hoping it's an isolated issue but if you're buying a wide size, it might be to your advantage to find a brick-and-mortar to check for these issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good shoe, February 1, 2010

The Asics GT-2150 has gotten some of the best recent reviews of any running shoes, and its high marks are well earned. What surprised me the most was how quickly they felt "broken in" to me. They are relatively new, so I can't comment on how well they will last, but they are stable, light, and surprisingly well cushioned. Great purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned., July 30, 2010
I saw someone at work wearing a pair of Asics and really liked the style. I went to amazon and asics website and started doing some research. Mostly, I wear Nike or New Balance outside of dress shoes and "doc's".

I wear a size 13, and a pretty wide foot. It's hard to go to a store and find anything in a 13 much less in wide it seems. Especially in a shoe you actually like. This is what drove me to Amazon.

I ordered the shoes on Sunday and they were on my doorstep on Thursday. I am always pleased with Amazon's quick shipping.

As for the product? I couldn't be happier with these shoes. As soon as I took them out of the box, I threw 'em on and ran a mile (they were already even laced up for me). It's like walking (and running) on clouds. They are very supportive, comfortable, stylish and I plan on buying these in other colors (bought the black this time around).

My only con: I don't care for the reflector on the top/front but that's just me nit-picking on an otherwise perfect shoe.

5.0 out of 5 stars ASICS GT-2150, April 16, 2010
Looking for a comforable wide width shoe, this is a very good one. I've only owned these shoes for about 1 month however I normally have problems standing for long periods of time (lower back pain) but with this shoe I can stand for much longer periods than before. Nice fit for my wide feet and stylish. I've run in them for 2 miles at a time and I'm in less pain than before. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review of ASICS Mens GT-2150, March 4, 2010

This is my second pair and they are by far the best running shoe I have ever owned. I have been running four to five miles four times a week for the last twenty years. My only complaint would be I wish they came in more colors.

5.0 out of 5 stars 2150 as good, maybe better, than the 2130., May 7, 2010

To date all the reviewers, except one, ranked this shoe 5 stars. I agree. It's as good or better than the 2130 I put 340 miles on before leaving them at a condo in China (next trip I'll still use them instead of carrying my new 2150s). There is a reason these are the best selling running shoe in the world - they are excellent in every way. The person that stated his/her older version of these shoes are better is all wet - no way. These are great shoes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, not Great, August 18, 2010
This is a good shoe, but not a great shoe.

The tongue is over-sized and if you have a high in-step (like I do) you will get blisters with this shoe. I find I have to lace them quite loosely. The half-size above me though was far too big and my feet would slip while running.

The base of the shoe is solid, firm but comfortable. I have problems with the balls of my feet, I crash down on them quite hard when I run which caused bruising with other shoes. These shoes do well to prevent that kind of high-impact damage.

I'd really recommend anyone trying them first at a brick-and-mortar before buying. If you have wide feet (like I do) but your in-step is not too high I think these shoes are perfect. For my next pair of shoes I will look for a pair that caters to both wide and high in-step feet.

5.0 out of 5 stars I keep Coming Back to Asics GT shoes, July 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The shoe fits well, it does a great job of isolating me from the road surface, it protects my feet even on long runs. The shoe allows my stride to track straight without rolling. I've worn this shoe and its predecessors since 1996. I've not worn anything else.
