Let me start by saying, there are better running shoes out there. However, for the 35$ these cost me I have found my new favourite shoes. If you are familiar with Pose running, or naturally run on the forefoot these shoes make a great addition to your shoe closet. I bought these as an intermediate running show to wear for races and longer distances on asphalt. I have been training almost exclusively in Vibram Fivefingers or in bare feet and these shoes are nearly as comfortable as either of my previous options. Beware however, if you are not sprinting and happen to be running on hard surfaces it is a must to adapt your running technique accordingly as these shoes offer little protection from the pounding you experience with "traditional" running techniques. If you want a nice pair of runners for little investment these are the way to go. Also for any crossfitters looking at these shoes, I have performed several wods in these shoes, and the only thing that well unnatural was my heavy oly lifts, in these cases I still prefer barefoot or oly shoes, otherwise I'd put these up against a more pricey pair of innov8s any day.

I picked these up for my son because his coaches suggested Asics over nike. This is my son's second cross country season. His times are a lot better and my son says they are very comfortable. The colors match the team colors which is great. He will be wearing them at the XC Champonship in Orlando, FL, December 5,2009. Oh, I failed to mention my son is 10. GO ECLIPSE!!!!

I like this item but I would have liked it more if the description would have been correct. I am sorry to say but after years of experience in retail there is NO mens shoe that is a 4D. This is a huge error and therefore cost me more money to return it because it was the wrong size.

I had to return this item. Please learn from my experience and do not buy this from amazon.
As another user has pointed out, it runs smaller size and the make is very very cheap. It was not looking an Asics shoe pair at all. Mostly looked like a cheap duplicate or so. I ordered size 7 but maybe needed an 8 or 8.5 in this pair. I went ahead with the order due to prior excellent reviews, but amazon failed me this time and had to return this to amazon. They even charged me for the returns. Stay away!!!

Runs small. Needed at least a .5 size larger. Not good if you pronate.

I usually have a hard time finding comfortable shoes because of my flat and narrow feet. Most brands are too wide, or the arches too high. I was very nervous about buying shoes over the internet that I could not try on. The great price I got these for, along with my strong desire for a good distance Cross country shoe led me to give them a try. I have not been disappointed so far. I am somewhat leery of how long they will last, but that remains to be seen. If you have flat or narrow feet I think you will like these. On the other hand if you have wide or high arches you probably wont like these. Also, I don't imagine these would be good for very long races (half or full) marathon, or races that are primarily on concrete/asphalt. I have been doing a lot of running on trails so they have been good. I think they would be an excellent shoe for most cross country (5K/10K) team running.
