5.0 out of 5 stars Same As It Ever Was: Still One Of The Best
New for 2012, this is the 14th iteration of one of Asics flagship models.
Overview: The latest version in the lineage remains true to its predecessors. If you liked the Nimbus in the past, you will like this one too. While Asics claims to have made a significant number of changes to the new model, most are superficial. The primary differences are:...

3.0 out of 5 stars narrow toe box
I have been wearing Nimbus for the past 6 years. I love the cushioning, but I find that the Nimbus 14 is narrow for my foot. It will stretch because it is made of fabric, but I wish the toe box area had been designed a bit wider. I also preferred the off center lacing of past Nimbus models. This is not my favorite ASICS Nimbus design.

3.0 out of 5 stars My first Nimbus letdown,
I'm a big guy with a horrible running gait. I've worn the Gel Nimbus series for the last 7 or so years. Always been pretty good shoes, durable and comfortable. I average about 25-30 miles a week, pavement and trail, and run 10ks and half marathons. I bought these in preparation of the Vegas half and picked the "fun" color blend. I bought them about 6 weeks before the race and put about a 100 miles on them without a problem, with my longest run being a 10 miler.
Come race day, started off pretty good. At mile 8, huge blister on my right arch. By 10, another huge blister on the same foot. Finish the race strong, and there's a blister on my left foot also, that I didn't notice because my right hurt way more. I check the shoes, no rocks or anything foreign in the shoe. It seemed like they were tight enough, fit good like all my previous Asics had fit.
I chalk it as an anomaly. After healing up for a couple of weeks, I begin running for the next half. Shoes feel good, same thing. I top out at 10 milers without a problem. Come raceway, mile 6 I blister on both feet, and I get a blister on top of my toe! Ouch! Still finish with my bet time ever.
The thing is, I don't ever blister. My shoes always fit good. The only thing I can think of, is that I'm getting crazy shoe expansion during the run. My pace is a bit faster than my practice runs. I'm not really into the science of running, I just go out an run. My next race I went back to the Gel 13's and was fine, even though they have a ton of miles on them.
Being said, the shoes look great and are comfortable. Not going to throw the cliche out with the cliche, so I'm going to chalk it up to a bad pair of shoes and I'm going to get the 15's for my next half.
5.0 out of 5 stars Asics are solid!!,

3.0 out of 5 stars good value,
Item fit great but wrong color. Not sure who to contact to see if I ordered incorrectly. Was very good value though
5.0 out of 5 stars Great, reliable running shoe,
Consistently reliable sneaker. Gel Nimbus are very comfortable for long runs. Right amount of support. I'm an underpronator with high arch
5.0 out of 5 stars Great pair of running shoes,
Price point was nice and the reviews helped me seek the deal, I would buy another pair of these in a heartbeat
5.0 out of 5 stars Good shoes,
As I always buy Asics shoes for running it was easy to get the suitable number and this model looks good. Delivery was on time so everything good, no complaints.
5.0 out of 5 stars 5th pair,
Very comfortable running shoes. This is my 5th pair and I will always use Nimbus for my running needs.
Much better than the Kayano stability shoe
5.0 out of 5 stars Too good to pass up!,
Purchased these shoes when offered a discount, but after running in them and knowing what I know now, would have purchased them even without the discount!
Likes: Fit, Color, Light weight, Price!
Dislikes: None at this time.
4.0 out of 5 stars Still a Good Shoe-even with the color.,
I bought this pair of Nimbus 14's as a replace for a previous pair that had outlived their days. For the price, ($70) I think they are great. The colors are not at all what I would really like, but they fit very comfortable. Like other ASICS, they tend to run a little small. Normally, I wear a 9 1/2, but wear a 10D in these. I'm a 220 pound runner who averages about 8 - 10 miles a week, so these have been my go to shoes.
4.0 out of 5 stars First Time Asics User,
I have been running in Brooks shoes for years and bought this shoe on a lark. Have about 100 miles on the shoe and it is a good platform for running. I suggest an insole be purchased and used for a better ride
