In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.
A great value for the multi-court player, the ASICS GEL-UpcourtTM GS shoe a lightweight, supportive ride. Designed with active tennis players in mind, this men's athletic shoe features a breathable faux leather and mesh upper with overlays that provide support during lateral movements. Rearfoot and forefoot GEL cushioning absorbs shock and enhances comfort; an EVA midsole lends support. The abrasion-resistant gum rubber outsole of the ASICS GEL-UpcourtTM GS sneaker features a lugged tread pattern for reliable traction and lasting durability.
I've bought another pair (women's one) and both fit equally fine, although I1d to order the women's pair one size up(9,5 to 10,5). Happy ever after!!Published 4 days ago by WALDEMAR ROBERTO RUZISCKA
It is a good shoe but the inner sole is a little hard so I have used supportive inner soles which seem to work well.Published 12 days ago by Tigershima
looks like good shoe. Runs very narrow. I can order size 13 any other sneaker. Not sure what I'd actually have to order on these to make them fit.Published 12 days ago by Keith P.
