I love running, however, it gets really cold here in mammoth lakes and running pants are needed, especially due to the weather. I had researched and checked out different brands at REI, but all of the styles seemed to be over priced for what the product offered. I ordered the ASICS thermopolis lt and am very pleased with it! It fits perfect around the waist and ankles. The "locks" at the bottom do a great job of keeping the cold from your ankles while keeping your legs warm. After touching the fabric, I was skeptical about how warm it would keep me on cold days - I am greatly impressed by how warm it kept me. The zip up pockets are a novel idea(a lot of the other brands I researched didn't have the zip up). All in all, I wouldn't run in them on a blizzard-like day; but are great with a breeze, bitter chill, or sunny day!

I used to wear tights and wind pants in cold weather when running. Now I wear these instead of those two things and I am very comfortable. Pockets are great also.

This is my 2nd pair of running pants. I wanted a new pair of running pants that could keep me warm, but not sweat and be uncomfortable. These pants are great! They are very breathable, but block the wind. Highly recommended for cold mornings!

This is my second pair of these pants. Not only do they perform well, they fit a short guy which is nice. I wear the size small and they fit great. I'm 5'6 with a 29" inseam and a 31" waist - these are not too long nor do they bunch up overly much at the cuff.

I live in Sun Valley, Az. Today the cold winds were blowing and i ran 50 minutes. I dressed warm with 3 layers on top, with gloves and knit hat.I wore my new ASICS Men's Thermopolislt Running Pants and i was amazed that the wind and cold didn't come through.
They are light and warm. If I had the cash, I'd buy another pair.

I used to run in wind breaking pants and was extremely displeased with the volume of pants when running. I bought these to get me through the winter and it has proven perfectly for 50 degree morning runs. I am looking forward for using them throughout my winter conditioning. Comfortable to lounge in too. Would recommend to a friend!

The pants keep your legs warm on cold runs. They also have packets on the sides that you can zip up to secure things like keys when you are running. This is great feature, because I always get worried that something will fall out of my pockets while running.

I bought a pair of these earlier this year for cold weather running. I had increased my miles and had shrunk my wasitline and wanted something warm to finish of the winter months. These are so soft and comfortable that when I started planning for the fall I decided to purchase another pair. The price from the seller was great (almost have the price as in another specialty store I purchase from).

There have been a couple of times that I have relaxed at home and pulled these out rather than regular sweatpants because of the comfort and feel.

As for running in them, they are very light, comfortable and warm. They are tapered about right in that they are not too lose or grippy like the Asics tights. In fact I bought the tights first and then returned them for these running pants. It was the right choice. I wanted to purchase 2 pairs this go around but they only had one pair left in my size. I will be purchasing another if I feel I need and they have them in stock.

Worth the money. Running gear can get expensive and this was priced right for a quality product.
