My family wrestles and we have tried many different shoes. Many, regardless of price, breakdown pretty quickly. We have been buying this shoe for the last two years and are very happy with them. They last a long time, look good, breath nicely, are light, and exactly the right flexibility. You should pay only around $100 on-line for these though, so Amazon's current price is too high.

Very nice looking shoe. But unfortunately they are just plain not comfortable. Like sliding your foot into a cardboard box. I let my other coach try them on and he agreed. I would not buy these again and regret my purchase a bit. At least they look good.

I wore Asics wrestling shoes back in the 80s and have always had a lot of respect for Dan Gable so when I needed a shoe for Krav Maga this was a natural buy for me. Overall I like the shoe very much. The construction and quality is rock solid. Much better then the entry-level garbage they sell in all of the sporting goods stores. The traction is excellent. The only issue I have with them that keeps me from giving them five stars is the stripes. Because the stripe pattern stitched on the side is made of a thick, non-flexible plastic it makes outer part of the shoe not as flexible as it should be. I need to tie the shoes much looser then I used to or the stripes dig into the outer edge of my foot. One of these days I'm going to remove some stitches and cut off the parts causing the issue then I think I will have the perfect shoe.

I bought these shoes for my high school wrestler son. These are a bit pricey, however they are far superior to the previous shoes he used. I would absolutely recommend these shoes to someone serious about competition.
