I have worn the ASICS GT 2000 for over a year. My size is 9 M. When I got these shoes, the size is almost a complete size smaller (my toes were hitting the top). The width was narrower than narrow. I have noticed in other reviews this is compared to Style 2170.
Buyer beware. Order at least 1/2 size larger, and may want to order a wider size.

I have narrow feet (9AA in regular shoes). I also have painful plantar fasciitis and wear custom orthotics. These Asics fit perfectly, and the new 2000 2 shoes cushion my heels as well or even better than my old GT2170s. I only wish they hadn't stopped making them in solid black like before. I don't like having to wear neon pink/green shoes to the office.

I've worn asiscs since my podiatrist sent me to a specific store for runners while being treated for plantar fasciitis. The people at this store knew exactly how to help me and fitted me with my first pair of asics about 5 years ago. I've tried other styles and even other brands, but this style (GT 2000, or any in the same line) work best for me. I live in my asiscs!!

I ordered a 2E and there is no way this shoe is a 2E width. They run very narrow. They look nice and otherwise seem like a great shoe...but if you foot is even the slightest bit wide, go for the wider shoe.

I haven't ran in these yet (hence the 4 stars), but on after trying them on my feet are in heaven! I loved the GT 2170 and really hated the changes in the first version of the GT 2000. Looks like Asics listened to the feedback because I might come back to wearing the GT 2000 series with these new changes. I will update the review after several training runs. So far so good!

Update: I have done speed work and a 13 mile run, and I still love the shoe. So glad it fits and feels like the GT 2170 again.

My knees feel better, my back feels better, my ankles feel better. Running is a pleasure again. I'd recommend this shoe to any serious runner

I love love these shoes. They fit like a glove on my feet. I usually run 5 miles a day and they are just great at performance, very comfortable, moderate support and most of all great value. I wear size 8 on regular shoes like sandals and heels but on these one the size 8.5 is just perfect. I actually go to these website called runningwarehouse.com and they have these app that would get your shoe fit and compared it to the running shoes that you are trying to buy and they will kind of fit it for you. So far they always get my size right. Overall great running shoes. You get what you paid for.

I bought this exact shoe, same size and same style, from a local speciality running store last year. I ordered the GT-2000, in a ordered a 9 2A (narrow). I absolutely love this style of shoe because it fits me perfectly and comes in a narrow size. So when I found them on Amazon for half price I had to buy them.

I just received them today and I am very disappointed. They are actually smaller than my orginal pair. They are not comfortable at all. I do not know if going up a half size will help or not? The arch does not hit in the same place, they are more narrow through the toe box, they do not seem to have as much cushion as my old pair still has and the material seems cheaper.

I checked the style, size, color, tag all say asics and everything looks like it is the same shoe but it is very different.

I will stick to spending more money on my running shoes and buy locally in the store. These will be going back! :(

I dont understand why these are not fitting as expected. These are my GO TO shoes and my toes go numb whenever I run with them. I don't think that these are real asics.....

Although I ordered a half size larger, I still found the toe box to be narrow which can make it uncomfortable if you have a wide foot like I do. Its starts out comfortable but after an hour or less if more agressive workout I find the arch are and toe box to hurt. OK for short workouts but not the long haul.
