Great Comfy Shoe, January 16, 2009
These shoes were comfortable from the first time I wore them for a workout. They run true to size, feel very light, but have plenty of support. One of my fitness magazines awarded these as one of the best shoes for cross training (I have used them for doing cardio and resistance DVDs) and so far they seem to be right.

Excellent cushioning for plyometric workouts, March 2, 2011
This review is from: ASICS Women's GEL-Intensity Training Shoe (Apparel)
My last few pairs of cross trainers have been Rykas, but I recently decided to try something different, and a friend recommended these. They are probably the most comfortable athletic shoes I have ever owned -- and yet also the most expensive! The extra cost, in my opinion, is definitely worth it.
The gel cushioning makes these so comfortable, especially if you do any sort of workout that involves plyometrics or jumping. I have a tendency towards tendonitis in my right knee, and jumping in these shoes makes such a difference on my knee! They have fantastic arch support and great cushioning throughout the footbed. (The gel in the footbed is what makes these so comfortable.)
I've used them for plyo workouts, weight training, kickboxing, and step, and they work well for all of these workouts.
As for fit, I noticed on the Asics website that they said to go up a half-size in these shoes, and that's exactly what I did with these. I usually wear a 7.5 in "street" shoes and an 8 in athletic shoes, and the 8's in these were perfect; while a 7.5 probably would have fit, the 8 gave me good toe room, but didn't make my feet wiggle or move.
I'm a new convert to Asics shoes, and will definitely be replacing these with another pair when these wear out!

Great sneakers but not so good on hard wood floors, June 29, 2009
These sneakers are excellent for plyometrics training, weight lifting and cardio workout on gym equipments. My only issue with it is that it is not really great on hard wood floors because the front part of it gets slippery. Other than that it has excellent support and shock absorption. I would probably pick a different one for aerobic classes on hard wood floor.
