I started running 8 weeks ago with these shoes, and I love them! I'm an underpronator (meaning, I land on the outside edge of my foot) and these shoes have a good amount of cushioning to stabilize me. The extra padding on the outside edge encourages my foot to roll inwards to absorb the shock of each step.

I found the shoes to be quite comfortable and great for my training for my first 5k race!

I believe these shoes are best for beginning runners and underpronators.

These shoes are really excellent! I run medium distance (5ks and the occasional mile) races and the Kanbarra-4's carried me well. They had very thorough cushioning that didn't interfere with my stride and were a pleasure to run in until I wore them out. They cleaned well from the mud and clay I sometimes coated them in and I found the color combination beautiful. The only complaint I have applies to all shoes ASICS makes that I have used- the lining above the toe is exceedingly thin and a hole never fails to appear after sustained heavy usage. This is a cosmetic complaint, though, as it never interfered with my runs. I wish Amazon offered these in other sizes!

I've owned 2 pairs of these - bought them at the same time since I was so impressed with the fit and comfort level. I found them in D width, and they fit my feet perfectly. I will buy another pair if I can find them.
