I'm a nurse and very particular about my shoes. My dept. changed to black and brown uniforms, and in looking for a shoe to match is how I found ASICS. What a wonderful coincedence that was! They feel great from the start,don't make your feet feel hot, and my feet never hurt after work. I did add inserts per a podiatrist for my very high arches, but wore them for months before this with great comfort. Now when I try on another brand I can't seem to adjust. I'm spoiled for ASICS!

I needed a shoe that was comfortable for jogging/running on the treadmill and these are perfect. I have never owned a pair of asics but a lady i work with said they are the only comfortable brand she has found to work out in and she was right. I will definatley buy another pair of asics.

These are comfy, cushiony running shoes - but they are not very good for flat feet. They have very little arch support. (I put an insert in them and that helps.) On the other hand, they have great cushioning and feel almost "bouncy" when walking or running. Pretty comfortable overall. I also really like the way they look (I got the black/onyx color).

I have an older pair - same model, gel kanbarra 5. most comfortable pair of sneakers I have ever had in my entire life & I've been through quite a few. I am looking to buy another pair because they are so comfy!

These shoes ripped apart less than a month after I purchased them. I don't know if these particular shoes were defective but when I tried calling the company, I bought them from, nobody answered the phone for the number they provided. It is disheartening the I invested $50 on a pair of duddy shoes.

These shoes were a great disappointment for me. I had been through 3 pairs of ASICS before that were wonderful and very well cushioned. Not these! There was far less cushion than I expected and they didn't seem to absorb impact as well as their excellent predecessors, the GEL-Kanbarra 4s. Also, I run 5ks competitively and often practice on rough terrain and I noticed they slightly impeded my heel movement when going around sharp curves. It also seemed the heel was raised or some such that threatened to throw off my stride. The shoes caused me back, knee, and overall leg pain and I simply could not tolerate using them. Not recommended at all.

PS- If you do decided to buy them for some reason, be forewarned that not just these but ASICS overall have very thin fabric over the toe and all shoes I have bought from them and used heavily have developed very noticeable holes there.

Needed a new pair of good sneakers to wear on a daily basis. These are the ones. I love them. I do recommend going up a half size. I always wear a 7 and I had to return and get a 7.5. My feet do not bother me at all in when I wear these. They are tight at first but after a couple of wearing, they fit nice.

I wore out my Asics Gel-Maverick 2 so I bought the Gel-Maverick 3. It was very different from the 2 and hated them. I have searched for two months now to find the right replacement and the Gel-Kanbarra 5 was it. My others were shot so there's no real comparison but the cushioning is amazing. I had to stop running until I found a good pair of shoes and it's exciting to be able to start running again. Highly recommended, especially if you like Asics.

I bought these shoes for work, i work in the ER and im constantly on my feet. Theyre so comfy.

I bought these shoes over a year ago. I've bought two different types of asics since then, yet i still keep going back to this pair. They have a hole in the mesh and the tread is basically gone but these are still the most comfortable running shoes I've ever worn. I'm training for a marathon right now and I trust these shoes. I wear them to work, where I'm on my feet for over 6 hours and I wear them for my morning runs. I specifically buying myself a new pair of these shoes to have for my marathon. I'd use my old ones but I'm afraid I'll run out of them literally!
