After going through several brands and pairs of "walking" shoes, including New Balance and Reebok, I bought these and have found them to be the only ones that live up to the claims of being a walking-specific shoe for fitness walkers. Lightweight, cushioning in all the right places, good size toe box, and no discomfort for my relatively high arches. Asymmetrical lacing actually makes sense and works quite well, though a bit strange looking at first. I have a neutral footstrike, cardio walk 3 miles on pavement 4-5 days a week, and these are the shoes I will always come back to from now on. Oh, and they're not dorky looking! :o)

I read a review of these sneakers in a consumer magazine. I have tried at least 3 other brands but these are very different. They fit well and are very comfortable. The consumer magazine was right and I'm glad I bought these sneakers. They were not available in my area so I used my old standby: Amazon.com ! I'm going on vacation and will be doing a lot of walking so these will be put to good use.

This is a very comfortable shoe - I have foot problems and wore this shoe all day and it was great!

I selected this brand of shoes after reviewing and trying many others. I was looking for good walking shoes and I got what I expected, an excellent pair of walking shoes. I am very pleased of my selection.

These shoes are, without a doubt, the best shoes of any kind I've ever worn. When I first put them on they felt like they had been broken in just for me - and they still feel that way. The lacing is unique and I think it adds to the comfort. The size and fit were perfect. The day after I tried them on I bought 3 more pair! I hope Asics never stops making them.

Because I have arthritis, high arches, and heel spurs, I'd nearly given up on finding a comfortable walking shoe. I read the recommendation for the Asics GEL-Tech Walker Neo Walking Shoes in a consumer magazine and thought, why not? I looked for it locally and found several other Asics shoes, but not this one. Then I came back to my old stand-by Amazon. This is the most comfortable pair of shoes I've had in years. They are cushioned in all the right places and fit like a glove. They were even less expensive here. I'm so thrilled!!!

I have not purchased a bad pair of Asics and these shoes are no exception. They are the most comfortable Asics yet and they're a little less expensive than some of the other styles. I really like the slightly off-center lacing, it really is more conducive to the human foot.

The pair of shoes I received had the laces up the side of the shoe on the big toe side, not up the middle like "normal" shoes. The laces rubbed that part of my foot. I was disappointed because they were highly recommended by Consumer Reports and I had a really hard time finding a pair in my size. I don't want to dis the shoes completely but I wasn't sure if this was the actual design--to lace up on the side.I sent them back. I'll keep looking for a comfortable shoe that I can wear for long hours on my feet.

Very happy with since I have had foot problem. I wear them all the time.
Would like another pair but will wait since they are expensive.
