5.0 out of 5 stars Asics is one of the few shoes that fit a low volume foot., November 8, 2009

I live in the mountains of Colorado, and this is a good shoe for running on trails or grassy areas. It also has enough cushioning that it is fine for running on the street.

Asics is one of the very few brands I can wear as my foot, though normal width, is very thin and low volume. My foot swims in most brands no matter how tight I try to lace them up.

I've had great luck with Asics and appreciate the fact that they don't vary in size or shape, as some shoes that are manufactured in various different Asian countries do. The size 9 is a consistent perfect fit for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars great stability, trail debris can get inside, May 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love this shoe, but some debris does manage to work its way in which is always annoying to have to stop a run to fish around to get it out. I'm an easy runner and never run much distance, but I also love to hike. I love asics, have used their shoes for running for years, and other friends that are huge runners love this brand too. So I knew I was going to get a good solid construction and was happy with the stability offered by a trail running shoe.

Fit: My foot is pretty narrow with a high arch, and these fit perfectly. The only thing is that my ankle bones are pretty prominent, and the sides are high enough to reach them and rub a little- I just have to make sure my socks are pulled up high enough to cover them.

And of course, I love the look of them- I have to admit that the color is the reason I first considered this shoe! I just hate white shoes because they look very dirty after little wear, this one is perfect for hiding dirt.

Also note- only use these on trails! I was hoping to be able to use these on roads too, but don't! They do not have enough shock absorption because they are made to be used on cushy trails. I tried and after a few days had bad ankle pain (I've stopped and a week later it still hurts!).

I have been wearing Asics forever, and this shoe is still one of my favourites. I couldn't find a colour I liked as I find Asics colours somewhat of a put off, but this one is great. I should have bought two pairs. Access to a variety of Asics styles is limited in my area so I visit amazon a lot!

5.0 out of 5 stars ASICS Women's Ge-Trail Running Shoe, January 26, 2010
I love this shoe! My feet stay dry & warm. The stability is great - I'm not nervous about twisting my ankle.
