I just rec'd my runners today and they are very narrow. The length is fine, the width way tight. I ordered a size 8 (which is a 1/2 size larger then I would normally wear because my feet are wide) and up to now, have not had a problem with compensating my wide feet with a size 8. The shoes are beautiful and lightweight and because of this, I am going to return them for a size 8.5 and hope that it will be a better fit. When I get my 8.5 and if they fit, I will take them for a run...and maybe revise the rating based on the fit and performance.

My favorite shoe ever! Its the only one I never had to break in. Many running shoes I have its almost ritual to get a blister to break them in, but not with this one! I love that It matches all my gym clothes or running attire and it fits great a little snug but I know if I bough a half size bigger my foot would be sliding around in it. I run 5 days a week 3-13 miles per day. This shoes is awesome! Highly recommended

I spent a good deal of time researching these and reading reviews of countless shoes here on Amazon. I wanted a minimalist shoe that mimics many of the barefoot running shoes (i.e. vibram), with a bit more cushioning, as I primarily will use this shoe as a regular training shoe on paved roads, not trails. As a weekend 5k racer with a masters in biomechanics, I was hoping that this shoe was the perfect fit, (pun intended). After wearing them now for about 2 full weeks, I give them an average rating. Here's why:

* This shoe really let me down in terms of the quality of the product that Aasics usually puts out there for runners. I've had many Aasics over the years and have never had a pair that let me down. I felt confident based on what I had read about these and given my past with Aasics that these would be no different. However, I felt that these shoes were just really cheap and lightweight versions of many of their other shoes. While they do fit true to size (I ordered a half size up, based on recommendations here, and was glad I did), they do not feel like they really "break in" as other running shoes tend to. Yes, they are super-light, but that doesn't mean they are minimalist. I have a pair of 5-Finger shoes and have trained in these for quite some time (I should preface that while I'd love to use just these alone, I do not have the form to allow me to run solely in these for fear of injury, so if I could find something similar with a wee bit more cushioning, I'd buy 100 pairs). These shoes do not allow me to run with the same mechanics that those do. I don't feel like these encourage proper running form with toe splaying or heal contact. Upon contact with the ground, they have no bounceback that you would expect, given the material used to make the sole, so it creates a very "blah" landing--not hard, as you would expect with some minimalist, but more just a rigid feeling. It's hard to really say, but these just feel really cheap; I guess I got what I paid for here.

So, is there anything GOOD about them? Yes:

I do like that they are light-weight and came with a bungee lace that keeps them tight throughout the run, and it's always nice not to have to worry about a lace coming untied. Plus, you can slip them on and off quickly. I'm hoping that with more runs, these will start to break in and will perform the way I hope they should. And, they are a good price, compared to many shoes in its category.

As many buyers mentioned about sizing, it's highly recommended that you need to get .5 size larger than your true shoes size. I normally wear an 8, but I followed people's recommendation and got 8.5, which fits perfectly. They are super comfortable and light weight. Ran 7.5miles on paved road in these and I love that it provided so much support and cushion. I love the design as it stands out from the crowd :D

Background: Training for 2nd Marathon, training season from Jan-May of this year, bought these around Christmas 2013 and starting running with them in Jan. 2014.

Pros:
Lightweight when compared to other running shoes
I didn't suffer nearly as many injuries as with other shoes
Even though I severely overpronate, this didn't exascerbate that problem

Cons:
Don't need drainage holes - I'm from ND so it's snowy and rainy up here, it ended up with me bringing an extra pair of dry socks.
Very little support - which is what you should expect anyway :)
FAST wear and tear. It's mid-March and I've already got a toe-hole, the sides are shredding and the bottom is wearing out very quickly. I'll need new shoes soon.

Summary: Great for short-mid distance runners. Marathoners and up, please look for something more durable. These are lightweight and make you feel speedy, but the wear and tear is ridiculous - and I only wore these when I was running.

I really like the softness of this shoe and wiggle room without crushing my toes. I ordered a 6 and a 6.5. My feet are a little wider than normal and the 6 fit, but are snug (I'll use it for my 5ks) and the 6.5 feel comfy (though the toe part sticks out/feels longer/pointy) so I will probably use it to run longer distances. These are probably best for those with normal width feet.

I went with the reviews and bought half a size bigger than what I usually wear which is a 6 so I got a 6 1/2 and they still felt very tight specially from my heel section very disappointed but I still loved the color. I ordered another pair in a size 7 if those fit better I will just have to exchange these for a 7 instead but I will wait for the other ones to get here before I make the decision. Other than that I have been an asics fan since my husband introduced me to them and this wont change that.

I have a problem in one of my heels, have high arches and underpronate. When I first got them I had to work a ten hour shift and these shoes were killing me. Then I discovered that it is better to wear them without socks. They are narrow (I do not have wide feet)and after a week of using them, I can see how they make my underpronation show.
For other people with narrow feet they might be great; not for me. :(

comfortable! I ordered half a size up as the reviews recommended and I am glad I did. They fit perfectly! They are comfortable, and are perfect for running. I didn't have to break them in, I just put them on and went. No blisters, no foot pain. I normally have issues with my ankles and my feet causing me back pain, but no such problem with these sneakers! No foot pain at all!
