4.0 out of 5 stars Palm Defender, March 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased this product for myself and my daughter. It's a perfect size to comfortably hold in my hand, however, it adds quite a bit of bulk to a key ring. I like the safety lock because it keeps it from accidentally spraying, but at the same time it's very easy to unlock with just my thumb in the event I would need to do so quickly. Without realizing how potent it might actually be, my daughter did a test spray in the garage before she left for the evening. Fortunately we were not in the path of the spray, but the effects lingered in the garage for at least a half hour causing my eyes to burn and a prickly feeling in my throat. If pointed near the face, I certainly think it would be strong enough to deter a criminal, giving us a little more time to get away.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Pepper Spray Product I've Seen, April 1, 2009
I have purchased probably 50 of these over the years and given them to all of my women friends. I really like it because it can be used in so many ways. First and obviously, you can use the pepper spray to get the unwanted 'animal' away, (I like to call 'seasoning'). Then, you can use the keys attached to the kubaton as a mace to wack the no-gooder over the head. Third, the kubaton itself makes a fine self defense tool. I call the last two options 'tenderizing'. So, even if you've run out of spray, you have other options. I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars It burns...., September 23, 2010

This stuff works, and it fits nicely in the hand or front pocket of pants. Test it out, the spray flies and it is powerful....

5.0 out of 5 stars ASP Palm Defender, June 21, 2011
This review is from: ASP Palm Defender OC Pepper Spray (Sports)
I have found this pepper spray design the safest to carry and use. Some less expensive sprays have flmsey trigger/safety mechanisms, that i don't trust for carrying around.

The Palm Defender also has a "hair spray" shaped dispersal that is much improved over the cheap pepper spray models that are more like a "trickle"

One advantage of this design is you can order a 'safe' test cartridge to see how it sprays, the pattern and the distance.

It's fairly inconspicuous to carry around and is handy when you need it.

4.0 out of 5 stars As stated, January 2, 2012

Gave to my daughters. Product appears as stated on Amazon. Haven't used it so I can't state that it works properly. Bought because you can refill, if necessary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Pepper Spray I've ever owned, January 21, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have purchased probably more than fifty of these and given them to my friends for defense. What makes this item so great is that it works no matter what the weather is like. If you use aerosol pepper spray alone, you must be aware of wind direction so as not to get any in your own face. This has aerosol pepper spray, but also combines a couple of other defense tools. If you attach your keys to it, you can whack an attacker with your keys holding on to the baton...OUCH! Also, the baton makes a wonderful smacker tool all by itself. If you attach car keys to it, I recommend using a carabiner so that you can quickly detach the baton without taking your keys out of the ignition. The safety keeps you from accidentally spraying the inside of your purse, but I generally walk around with it in my hand and the safety off. They come in all sorts of cute colors so it just looks like an accessory.
