Foundations are wasting millions of dollars trying to help teens and now there is a book I'd like to see placed in the hands of every seventh grader. This book will give teens a chance to lead productive lives because it's very easy to read... good old common sense.

As an educator and current assistant principal,I have recommended Aim High 101 Tips for Teens to both my colleagues and the parents of my pre-teen/teen students. It's an easy read for both parents and students. It is a simple guide to life and all that we hope for our students and children. Makes a great Parent Association gift for those students entering middle school or high school. Also a great conversation starter for parents during those difficult years! Buy it, share it!!

A very "straight to the point" book. Great advice and simple to understand. With having four daughters, sometimes you need a little help to open up the lines of communication!

Far from preachy, Aim High presents 101 concise guiding principles that kids should find quick to read and easy to remember. Short enough for short attention spans and in a form that does not require sequential reading. Not a how-to guide but rather a selection of aphorisms designed to provoke further thought or initiate discussion. Excellent for teens struggling with peer pressure who can find solid one-liners at their fingertips to give them strength to stand tall. Nothing out of the ordinary here as far as pithy advice, just the tried-and-true basics for success in one's life and endeavors in a compact format.

This is a wonderful book for teens as well as their parents. It provides kids with simple basic axioms that we all learned (or should have learned) as kids. And it provides a refresher course for all of us. It's an easy read that teens will be able to pick up, understand and relate to.
I'm on the Board of a non-profit organization that runs many youth development programs and provides social services for many school age kids. I plan to give several copies of this book to our Executive Director and suggest that he distribute them to the teens in our programs. I hope we can get someone to underwrite the purchase of 250 of these books so that we can give one to each child. Every parent should buy one of these books, read it and give it to their teenager as a present for the holidays.

This is a book packed with insights and wonderful suggestions that,

if followed, will help Teens lead a productive and meanignful life.

The authors' "Tips" are really common sense precepts that a loving

parent would want to teach their child.

All parents that are full of love for their child would want them to

display respect, be honest, show forgivness, learn how to deal

construtively with criticism etc, etc. Just 97 more to go and they are

all winners.

In my opinion, A MUST READ BOOK.

BRAVO.

This book covers many areas taken for granted in these busy times. The ideas discussed are timeless.
Parents of preteens and teens should read it and pass it along to their children.
When I brought it into my office and commented about it many of my coworkers were very interested. One of them is a program leader with young teens and was planning on incorporating it into their program.
AIM HIGH does just that and children and adults will benefit from reading it!!

It seems that teens are being bombarded with negativism and violence in the news, games, and in life. This book is written with a positive and moral direction and is a welcome change. As a parent of three children, I found this book to be uplifting and positive and I highly recommend it for parents who are looking to give their children something to build self esteem and direction. Needless to say, it is a very easy read, even for teens!

More About the Author

I am a father of three children. I have raised one teenager, and am now raising another and in a few years will be raising another. I am 61 years old, a lawyer and author. As a lawyer I have handled over 10,000 divorces and have studied the problems and feelings of teens. In over 35 years of directly observing teenagers I have been able to see the disconnect between teenagers and adults as well as their failure to communicate.

AIM HIGH! is written for the teenager in a quick and easy style that they are accustomed to. Short sentences similar to tweeter and instant messaging. The book is written so that teens can get through it quickly and painlessly. AIM HIGH! reconnects teenagers with the rest of society by giving them the wisdom and common sense needed for school and life. Every teenager needs AIM HIGH! it is the most important book they will ever read.
