J. A. Adkins was born in 1983 in the often sunny and always eclectic El Paso, Texas. Subject to life on the outside edge of mainstream and conventional, J, better known as Justin, began harnessing and developing the power of his imagination and storytelling early in his childhood, mostly without even realizing it. Action figures became complex characters in elaborate, exciting plots. Along with his friends, the school yard and back yards at one house or another would become far off worlds or settings from their favorite movies. During high school, Justin exercised and expanded his writing skills through several drafts of a Star Wars fan fiction story. In his senior year, Justin teamed with his best friend to write their first full-length screenplay. For the last ten years (2001-2011) Justin has been working on various projects as well as exploring various avenues of his life. With the help and encouragement of his friends and family, Justin is taking bold and new steps toward an exciting future, including his own media company and his own charitable organization.
